If you are looking for somewhere clean, spacious and in a quiet location but within easy reach of amenities then this is the place for you.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment in the block set away from the pool. From our large balcony we had a view up into the hills surrounding Tsilivi. We had a room with a double bed and then twin beds in the main room. The kitchenette provided us with a fridge and the basics (utensils, kettle, 2 ring hob) to enable us to have lovely breakfasts every morning and a nice chilled beer/wine at night! The apartment was large and clean and we had no complaints. The cleaners came regularly and towels were changed. We didn’t use the aircon as it was cool enough but it was there if you needed it (not sure if that was at an extra cost or not).
Located less than10 minutes walk from the main strip in town there were plenty of bars and restaurants on tap without being smack bang in the middle of it. I can highly recommend the Olive Tree restaurant. You may have to wait some nights for a table but the food and staff make it more than worth it! The beach was also about a 10 minute walk away and you end up on the quieter end of the beach, slightly away from the main resort. I preferred this end of the beach as it seemed a bit quieter.
We didn't eat in the pool bar or use the pool but there always seemed to be a spare lounger or two. The pool was regularly cleaned and from the looks and sounds of things everyone seemed to enjoy themselves there. The staff were also lovely. We were shown to our room by the owner on the first day and she answered all our questions and then pointed out the nearest supermarket. There is one a stone’s throw from the apartments but if you take the walk into town there are 2 more supermarkets there which are much cheaper and with a wider selection.
Tsilivi is the perfect resort if you are looking for somewhere with a beach to relax on and a good choice of restaurants and bars. It's not too touristy and you still get a feeling of being in Greece although I would highly recommend renting a car and exploring to the north of the island. Here you'll find locals selling honey, wine and olive oil amongst other home grown things from right outside their homes. We found the locals to be incredibly friendly and left us wanting to go back again!
So in a nutshell, if you are looking for somewhere that's amazing value for money and in a relaxing location then I would highly recommend you book the Manousis.
