This villa is absolutely amazing!
All amenities are great - AC's in all rooms, great hot water showers (not that you need them), awesome pool, great kitchen... there's nothing missing at this place.
The cook is fantastic and can make whatever you request - from the perfect morning English breakfast, to anything you want later in the day.
The best part about this villa is the beautiful views on the beach... just relax, read a book, enjoy some beers while you sit under the shade of the coconut trees with vast open sea ahead of you.
This is place is also perfect for pets - we took a golden retriever with us, and he wouldn't stop running all over the vast space available.
All in all, I can't put into words how amazing this villa is and we shall definitely come back.
We stayed 7 full nights for a family reunion in April. We were 9 adults and 8 children (2 of whom were babies/toddlers who slept in cots). We received the best care from the staff- Jane, Judy, Alice, Samuel, and the guards were so friendly and helpful and wouldn't let us lift a finger during our vacation! Salim, the chef, was superb - and Jane, Alice and Samuel helped out in the kitchen as well- seriously, every meal was prepared to perfection. Fisherman came daily with fresh catches. We ate 10kgs of calamari that week!! The pool was clean and the perfect size, the house had a beautiful view of the ocean, and we spent hours with the kids on the private beach under the shade of the palm tree forest- we even hung a couple of hammocks up. Each bedroom was big with super comfy beds and really cold air-conditioning! We would absolutely come back! Thank you to all the staff at Shamba La Salama - for your incredible hospitality. You made our vacation- perfect.
We had an amazing time at this villa. We were 5 adults and 4 kids. At our request, the owner put us in touch with a chef to cook all of our meals. The cook, Salem, was amazing and we would recommend you hire him yourself. He met us at Nakumat the first day and helped us shop. Ahead of time, we sent money to Salem and he bought lots of fresh seafood for our first nights dinner. He was great. The villa itself is very comfortable, in fact, I would say it has to most comfortable beds in Kenya. Jane, the house manager, was very caring and ensured we were happy at all times. The pool is great for kids and we had a hard time making them get out of the pool for meal time and bed time. The beach is in view of the house and I recommend bringing your own hammock to string between the palm tree grove that provides a shady place to let time pass as you listen and watch the tide go in and out. We plan to go back.

We had an amazing time at Shamba la Salama. We were met with cool and refreshing coconut waters and then shown to our rooms. We were two families with 5 adults and 4 kids. The house is huge and could have easily accommodated 6 more people if everyone doubled up in a bed. The beds are very nice pillow top mattresses and were very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and every morning, the caretakers ensure the private beach is manicured for you and because it is private and away from Diani, we were free from the beach boys trying to sell us things. We hired a personal chef through the host who suggested a man named Salim. He prepared all of our meal and it was absolutely amazing. He shopped for us before and during the trip and we will definitely hire him again. He prepared curries and seafood dishes that were restaurant quality. He made our trip very special. If you are thinking about taking a snorkel trip, have Jane take you down the beach to hire a nice boat and avoid the scams presented on the beach. She is great and was there to make sure we were taken care of. We are already planning our next trip to Shamba la Salama.
