Kenyaways is a magical place. I came here at the end of my Kenya trip. I stayed three nights and wished that I could've stayed for another week...or month. The accommodations, service, and food were all excellent. The breakfast was fantastic and the strong coffee was a welcome surprise. The beach is incredible...get up early to see the sunrise! Just beware of the salesman on the beach. Start with a "no thank you" and stay consistent with it, otherwise you will be pestered. The lounge chairs are up a few steps and they don't bother you there. Kenya is an amazing country and Kenyaways is one of its jewels!

Kenyaways is a fantastic alternative to the bigger beach resorts in Diani. The rooms are nicely decorated and with a pool and a beach front with loungers, Kenyaways is exceptional value for money. There was an issue regarding reservation and rooms, but as soon as it was mentioned everything was sorted out promptly and professionally. I was even compensated for a nights stay which I thought was very generous. There is kite boarding but it is in no way mandatory, as well as a restaurant with good food. Overall, Kenyways is an excellent option if you are looking for a smaller and more personal setting. I will definitely stay again.

Hey Kelly,
Great to see your review saying that you enjoyed your stay and again I am sorry about the mix up. I am happy it was alright in the end.
You looked lovely and bronzed by the end of it so you definitely got some good beach time!
All the best, Linzi

What a beautiful, tranquil and relaxing place to stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. After a long 'tough' day on the beach, come back for a few sun downers and a BBQ by the pool, love it! I can't recommend it highly enough.

We stayed in Kenaways in mid-June after a 3 night stay at Baobab Beach Resort. Kenaways was a welcome change from the all inclusive resort. There is such a chilled out vibe here, it would be difficult not to unwind and relax. The restaurant had recently being taken over by a new manager and the food was great. The bedrooms are 'beach chic' but have everything you need, a comfortable bed and a good shower, plus you are so close to the beach that you can hear the waves rolling in. The location of Kenaways is one of its major advantages, it sits right on the beach with sun beds looking out to sea and this end of the beach seemed to be a look quieter than further north near forthy thieves etc. Would definitely recommend.

Hi Ruth, Thank you for your glowing review. It is reassuring to know that Kenyaways is appreciated and compared against the typical large hotel resorts. We continue to try and get ideas from nature and recycling projects to make it as natural and eco as possible. I hope you had a safe trip back home.

We stayed at Kenyaways with a group of friends in Sept 2011 and had a great time. There's no pool but the premises are right at the beach. The beach is gorgeous, white sand, palm trees, turquoise water, perfect for walking and swimming. There's a peaceful and shady garden and a little restaurant with tasty food and a great cocktail menu. The breakfast buffet is nice and there are daybeds a little elevated from the beach which makes it easier to ignore the beach boys. Right next door is a high end hotel with a great restaurant that serves delicious seafood (oysters etc.) in a very stylish (all white) atmosphere for reasonable prices. It's easy to get into Diani for shopping, dining and going out. Staff at Kenyaways are very friendly, the rooms are clean and cosy and at night you can hear the waves. On the first floor is a beautiful spacious terrace with lots of sofas, cushions and a beautiful view of the ocean. A great place to relax and enjoy.

Hi, Thank you so much for your great review. I am sure it is helpful to others who are thinking of coming to stay here as it gives a broad description of what to expect. I am pleased to say Kenyaways does now have a swimming pool which was completed in December 2011. It is a small pool in the forest amongst the trees and monkeys and is so peaceful and different compared to the breezy breachfront. Also, since you were here we renovated 2 more rooms, and have a new restaurant and bar "Madafoos" which is under new management and is doing really well. The bar area has been extended and makes for a very social comfy environment with good food music and company. Hope you come back and see us again with our new improvements! Thanks again!
