I and My wife had a fantastic stay at this resort after my disgusting stay at 'Diani House' - Another accommodation on the Diani beach.

This hotel had beautiful rooms with amazing privacy on the beach.

The staff is very courteous.

In all I loved my stay there and wish to go back.

Room Tip: take the one closer to the shore...i loved it !

Me and my wife stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved our stay. We have stayed in common hotel chain resorts before and found that what Jacaranda lacks in global hotel brand, it more than makes up with its pristine beach, amazing staff, great food and constant entertainment throughout the day at the resort. Would definitely come back and stay here.

Room Tip: Try to get a sea view room if possible - they are very well done and have great access to the beach

I stayed here with my husband after a week's safari. We booked the hotel through Somak.
All in all, we had a nice stay here. The pools were lovely and so was the beach. We had an ocean front beach hut room which was well worth the money. We put two sun loungers in front of it and so we could nip in and out of our room when we needed to which was great.

The rooms are traditional in style, very tasteful but the bathroom was a bit dated. So also was the bed linen - needs replacing!

Also I was disappointed that we had to pay to use the safe.

We stayed half board. The breakfast and dinner were your usual all inclusive style buffet with lots of options. At lunch we mostly ate by the pool and there was a good selection of dishes.

There were very few British people staying when we were there, almost everyone was French, German or Swedish.

We found we did get a bit of hassle when on the beach but if you are polite but firm they tend to move on.

The beach is lovely but the sea is quite choppy with big waves.

Overall a good week.

We stayed here as a family of 6 for 4 nights on our own tour of Kenya. Being friends of the manager helped and we paid $120 per night half board.

Lovely cool flannel and juice on arrival and the staff were running around to get our bags to our rooms quickly.

The rooms have a huge double and a single. The bathrroms are quite open plan although you can close the shutters to hide from your family. the toilet is seperte tho ;-)

The rooms werr basically clean, and the building work was quite limited but hey its Kenya. I would say a negative was that housekeeping never arrived before 4pm...usually the time I was coming back for a sleep!

This stretch of the beach is amazing, really beautiful. No seaweed (as with most of Diani) but a bit more of crashing waves. The sand is soft and white - you cant get better

Some of the rooms overlook the sea but not mine. However standing on the balcony or verandah of most rooms you can see the beach.

Beware of the roaming monkeys and please dont feed them - you wont laugh when they bite!!!

The staff were all lovely and do anything to help

the pool is not too big but perfect. Not enough sunbeds by the pool but plenty of staff to move umbrellas, add towels etc. they would also happily do so by the sea.

The food at the buffet was fine. Most nights involved 8 courses - some of which was buffet others which came out via the waitress/waiter. Always a good choice of pasta, meats, vegetarian, desserts etc. Breakfast was my favourite - pancakes, croissants, juices, cooked stuff - everything!! The lunch menu was a little random and not what youd expect european standrad but nonetheless yummy. There is a seafood restaurant on the beach which you need to book....no idea if its included or what the prices are.

You sign for drinks, lunch, afternoon tea (which includes cakes or pancakes!!) and then pay at the end! so beware it all adds up

Internet is ridiculously expensive. Africa hasnt caught onto the craze yet!! $5 per hour. There is a small and reasonably priced shop on site. Laundry at normal hotel prices.

The hotel is at the northern part of Diani, hardly any beach boys to sell to you, and a quick taxi or tuk tuk into town. Do go into town, dont be afraid!!!! Any of the shopping centre have lots to offer.

This is not a 5 star hotel, its quaint and very Kenyan. enjoy the serenity, enjoy the animation team, enjoy the beautiful sea and beach view!!!

Room Tip: Ask for sea view...its worth a go!!

We have visited this hotel 3 times since 2007and absoloutly love it and wanted to return for a special occasion in February 2012, however during our last stay we were slightly disappointed as we felt it had declined somewhat since our first visit.
The main issue was in the dining room, it appeared that the staff's main priority was with the conference and business people who were in attendance...on a couple of nights my husband and I were 1 table of 2 in the middle of large tables of business executives in heavy discussions, not the atmosphere we expected or have experienced on previous visits and if we weren't in the dining room before 19.30 the buffet was blitz and there were a lot of dishes from the kitchen sold out so we ended up eating in The Bahari Cove which obviously incurred extra cost to us, although worth every penny!

Also around the beach and pool areas a lot of the furniture had seen better days if not already broken and although it is stated that some of the bathrooms have been upgraded there are quite a few that haven't. I hasten to say we always have an Ocean Front Bungalow and we were quite happy with ours.

We spoke to both General and Food and Beveradge Management about our concerns and they seemed to take it all on board and admitted they needed to get the mix right between Business and Holiday clients.

Has anyone been recently and found any of the above improvements have been made?
We really want to return next February but do not want to be disappointed as previously stated it is a special occasion.

We would greatly appreciate any response from the hotel management.
