Visit Mombasa frequently but usually stay in North. Purposed to visit Diani area and indeed distance was worth the choice. Stayed at Maridadi wing. Meals were delicious and spoilt for choice. But wish pool attendants would be more helpful to those who don't know how to swim especially because we werent aware that one should carry own floaters. Stayed 2 nights but recommend a longer stay.

This is only the second time in nearly 20 years of travelling I have ever wished to return to an hotel I have been to before, well I wasn't disappointed the first time around in 2011 and I wasn't disappointed this time too. The sea view from our room was sheer bliss.
The staff work tirelessly, the hotel is of high standard and very clean, the entertainment is excellent for a wide age range. When asked by work collegues if I enjoyed it more or less than the last time my reply was I enjoyed it just as much.
Well done to all the Baobab Beach Resort staff you do an excellent job, I would not hesitate to come back again if I ever visit Kenya again

I stayed here in November 2013 with my Husband and two sons (19 & 21). We had a great time! The resort is well laid out, the rooms comfortable, the staff friendly & helpful. We had one of our rooms upgraded on arrival, but unfortunately we had to check out to go on safari, and returned to our standard room, which apart from the lack of sea front location seemed virtually the same! Apart from our 2 night safari, we went on a days snorkelling, which was fantastic and also did a Scuba diving course with Diving the Crab firm based at the hotel. We had an absolutely great holiday, which just the right mix of activity and chilling out, and would not hesitate to go back

Came here in January for our Sons 21st Birthday. Firstly be advised the trip from the airport to the hotel is long and you have to wait to cross a ferry which is packed with people. The hotel is lovely but the grounds are very big and i kept getting lost trying to find my way back to the room. Beware of monkeys we had tea and cakes one afternoon and my son lost them to a monkey who came and stole them off his plate. Loads of monkeys everywhere they are quite comical to watch. Rooms cleaned daily and beds comfortable food was good and entertainment they provided was good fun. Did a safari with JT - Julius Tact Safaris (Julius Nzumbi) who has a new office near Diani Sea Resort. Used Julius 3 years ago when we visited kenya and again when we went this year had to pay a deposit from england and then paid the rest after the safari. One of his men came and picked us up from the hotel and took us to his office where we went through our trip then returned us to the hotel. Our driver for the safari was Joseph who was amazing he found us a pride of lions with 4 cubs that made my trip. we also got free wood carvings when we paid the balance. Highly recomend JT safaris nothing is too much trouble. We did a day trip with the hotel snorkelling and lunch on a dhow what fun that was even saw a turtle swimming near me made my day they even made a birthday cake for my son (FREE) such lovely people. Didnt go on the beach because i could not be bothered with all the beach sellers but some people did. I was happy to laze around by the pool. Would love to go back to kenya but dont know that i would go back to this hotel again (just my opinion).

This was my first ever holiday abroad, we stayed in the Baobab at the end of April 2014. The hotel was brilliant and the staff were always helpful. The evening shows were well worth going to see. The four poster beds were very comfortable and roomy, restaurants staff were friendly and helpful. All the pools are worth a visit, watch the monkeys trying to avoid the guys with the catapults. We went on a Bush Tour, which was worth the money from the start to the end, learnt how the tribes live. The tropical gardens we pleasant to walk through. The holiday was started well at the Airport where we were met by Moses our tour rep for the week, he was on hand at the Baobab all week should we have any problems.

April 2011. My first visit to Kenya and part of me wishes we had booked the safari option but will leave that for another time,
This resort ticks all the boxes for views, food, staff, cleanliness and overall smiling faces of all the staff on site. Even the security guys with their carefully hidden catapults ensuring the local monkey population isn't getting out of hand with the contents of your balcony.
We did private transfer to/from the hotel and for the return journey we were glad as the driver stopped the jeep and we were able to step out and watch the sunrise where the sky changed from indigo through all the colours of the rainbow. Stunning!

The location is fantastic, the hotels kept extremely clean, the beds are large and comfy. There are three pools to choose from (our favourite one was the infinity pool in kole kole, and precisely the chairs in the far corner right by the bar and entrance to the pool).
We got convinced to try the water aerobics class which was actually amazing fun.

The food was fantastic, in every (all inclusive) restaurant we tried. They sometimes had themes, american, italian etc. A LOT of vegetarian options if one is so inclined. You will get so used to fresh fruits that going back will be a heavy disappointment.

Finally, the service; everyone is incredibly nice and will go above and beyond to ensure you have a good time and your every need is met. Regardless of whether you just want to chat, request additional bedding, find out more about Kenya or the resort, everyone is friendly and attentive.

Best holiday I've been on.
