We ate at the Psaros Taverna one evening having seen previous reviews. We were disappointed. My wife's Seabass was overcooked and slightly burnt round the edges. My chicken souvlaki was the same. The service was 'mechanical' with no warmth or friendliness and they tried to charge us twice for the souvlaki. Luckily we spotted this, but no great apology was made. It was quite quiet when we dined, so there was not the excuse that they were rushed off their feet. They just didn't appear to be bothered. We saw the taverna busy on other nights, but chose not to try again ourselves - there are better tavernas locally.

Recently went to this taverna, for the third time. Food consistently good with lots of fresh new ideas on old favourites i.e. paella with seafood, chicken and peppers - excellent.
Good service and friendly staff. It has been there for a long time and is a favourite amongst the locals - it has to be good.

Ate here 4 times in 1 week in October 2013.

Beef stew was amazing, had swordfish and shrimps too,
all excellent quality, fresh and in good portions.
Bread pre dinner was really tasty
Wine was very good, about 13 euros a bottle.
They give ice cream and Raki after dinner complimentary!
The best place we ate all week.
They even had a fire on to keep the cool breeze down.
Good waiters too!
Really made our holiday....and they are open all winter.

Ate lunch twice here. First time, had fried courgettes - for me they were sliced too thin and the batter was too much; I scraped the batter off and there wasn't much courgette left! However, the the grilled squid was absolutely lovely, fresh and tender; delicious. Boyfriend had beef stifado which was good. Also, very cold and stormy day the first time we ate there and they had a wonderful wood fire lit which was very welcome! Second time, I had grilled sardines and grilled prawns, again both lovely and not overcooked. Boyfriend had lamb shank which was good. Service was fine, tho only one waiter but he was friendly and had no problems. Would recommend.
