Full disclosure: I have reviewed this restaurant before. However, because of a really nice night last night with twenty friends, I thought an updated review was in order. Because of closed roads due to a film crew, our group was half an hour late for our reservation. Five more people showed up than had indicated were coming. Frank and Isa of El Muelle nonetheless welcomed us with graciousness and efficiency, and everything was perfect. (not that I recommend showing up late with extra people, this is rude, but nonetheless...) Our food was, as always, beautifully presented and sizzling hot, garden-fresh and TASTY. The ensaladilla rusa was prepared in the classical way, but just BETTER than everyone else. Our other dishes were variations on classic Andalusian themes---more cosmopolitan and more interesting while still relating to local cuisine. Frank and Isa could not have been kinder or more gracious with our very large group, and everyone left happy. As the other reviewers have mentioned, it is a really beautiful place, too. You can go to El Muelle with confidence to have a lovely time and really nice food.
