could have been a bit nicer had they had a better breakfast -this one was stale looking, only a few items. the bathroom was small by comparison to other greek places i've stayed and the towel small too. people were pretty nice, sorry that the place didn't seem as nice.

The hotel is nice and refreshing on this beautiful island of Samos, the Staff were nice but not overly freindly and the service from the staff are ok. The rooms were clean daily and freshly decorated. The location is good and this place is just walking to almost anything you need especially the beautiful taverna of Samos and the great Greek food wow. This hotel I recomend based on its good value. I will recommend this place and would love to come back

Room Tip: Visit the turkish mailand only 30 minutes by Boat its a must

If you want to forget about the hustle and bustle of life Sunrise Hotel Ireon on Samos is the place to go. Popi her staff and hotel know how to make you feel like you have no problems at all. The sea rooms allow you to fall asleep to the purling of waves against the beach. Rooms are bright airy and spotlessly clean breakfast sets you up for the day. Thanks for making 4days feel like so many more.

My wife & I have just returned from another wonderful holiday in Samos in the delightful small resort of Ireon and this is an update of our 2008 review.
The family run hotel is run well with nothing being too much trouble for Popi and her family who look after you with great enthusiasm.
Rooms are kept clean and have air conditioning available. All rooms have balconies, either seaward facing to catch the sunrise, or backward facing overlooking the pool and over to the pine woods on the outskirts of the village.
Popi speaks excellent english so you can book via e mail or phone. They have their own web site.
It is easy to pick up a taxi at the airport to get to the hotel. Journey takes about 10 minutes and costs between 12 to 15 euros.
Resort has enough tavernas and bars to enable you to sample a variety during your stay. Several car hire firms in the village and there is a cash machine in the main square. There is a bus service for the village and also a taxi rank.

Room Tip: For sun on your balacony in the morning ask for sea view, but if you prefer afternoon sun go for a r...

The sea view rooms are excellent, when you sit on your balcony and look out, you feel so relaxed you can feel the sea breeze which is very cooling. The rooms are a good enough space for couples and if you have a child you can all fit very well into a room. The showers work all day no matter what time you take a shower, the is hot water. The rooms are very clean, and cleaned to a high standard. The pool which is just at the side of the hotel is perfect for a swim and sunbath, they have showers and toilets so you do not have to move from the pool until you are finished. Poppie and her family are extremely welcoming and look after you very well. Anything you need advice about, food, hiring cars, places to visit, just ask Poppie and her recommendations are excellent. We will be coming back here again.

Room Tip: The seaview rooms are wonderful. The is a fantastic apartment at the top of the hotel which is very...

Just got back from a FANTASTIC week in Samos, this family run hotel is a must, not only are you made so welcome and feel like a lifetime friend, the hotel itself it really clean and clearly the pride and joy of the family. Not to mention the view..... I missed waking up to crystal clear seas this morning! Popi and her family are always keen to help guide you round the island, so don't be afraid to ask, however wherever we went it was always nice to head home to the charming small town or Ireon. The tavernas (of which there are many) all offer local food, and feel like they have been passed down generations for years, don’t miss the garden restaurant to the rear of the hotel (ask Popi). The seas are so crystal clear, just walking around the quay you can see many fish, and we even star a couple of star fish. What a real treat, so relaxing, and a whole different world. Hope to return again soon. Thank-you again to Popi and her family for making this past week so special.

Room Tip: Sea View is a must, although it is called sun rise for a reason, if you prefer a darker room go for...
