Ate twice here on the week's holiday! Absolutely my favourite place to eat. It had only been open for 3 days on our first visit and we were given pashminas to put round our shoulders because it was a little chilly but boy was it worth the climb!

“Never got to go”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

Was so looking forward to going here on our last night of our holiday to celebrate our 20th anniversary our hotel had made the reservation for us by phone but day we were due to go there had been bad weather however weather improved and we made the journey by taxi and then walking the stairs to the windmill only to see it closed it would have been nice to have been contacted regarding closure or a member of staff there to apologise for it not being open so very disappointed

“Don't miss out on this wonderful restaurant”
Reviewed 1 June 2014 via mobile

My partner and I had an 8pm booking for this restaurant and where we were greeted and seated in a very friendly manor, the waiters were all men and what a lovely bunch they were, all very friendly, attentive, and worked really hard to ensure all guests had a lovely evening.
The menu is quite small yet very tastefully done, something for everyone.
After our Rib starter I had the Salmon fillet and my partner had Beef fillet and OMG they were both Devine, it was the nicest meal we had during our holiday, and the cheesecake desert was to die for and wonderfully presented.
The owners are Karen & Tassos and deserve to be very proud of what they obviously have worked very hard for and quite rightly so.
This is a must in our opinion!!!!!!!!

“Fantastic”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

I have eaten here many times over the years, but it was a first for my partner.
As everyone says,it is a climb to get there but more than worth it once your there!
The staff are very professional and friendly, after having a choice of tables we sat down to be amazed at the views over Skiathos! The food was delicious, fresh and beautifully presented.
Altogether a fabulous experience!

“Great views”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

If you want fab views the Windmill is the place to go, high up overlooking the town if you are going for the food, I am not so sure. Basically it's English gastro pub grub which is quite expensive for what you get and lots of things served with mash! Nothing really grab me and I had a nice salad with goats cheese and figs( not fresh). Hubby had fillet steak with pepper sauce. Good steak and decent sauce but for 24 euros he expected some vegetables and just got one fondant potato! My son had the chicken which he said was ok, thought the sauce tasted like the one you have at Ikea with their meatballs! some strange mixtures of things on the menu- pork with prawns(!) in fennel sauce. Decided to have no desserts but some coffee - no Greek coffee which seemed a little strange! I suppose if you want a change from the usual run of restaurants it's a place to go but I will not be remembering this is a fab place from our holidays
