There are far too many wonderful exhibits to do justice to in a short review but it should not be missed and at 2 euros entrance fee it must be the best deal on the island. A poignant moment for me was the large statue of the Roman Emperor Hadrian, many times in the past I have travelled parallel to it on the Roman Road from Carlisle (Cumbria) to Wallsend near Newcastle. It brought home to me how far people travelled centuries ago in such primitive conditions.
