“Good hotel but full of children!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 October 2009

The hotel is quite grand and well worth the 4*. Reception is big and airy, staff friendly and helpful, plenty of room in the main bar and terrace. I should put in a special mention to Irene, Karol and Phillipe in the Beach Bar - well done.

We had a family room on the ground floor in block 11. It was of a good size, plenty of space although the wardrobe might be a bit small if you have 4 in the room. The bathroom looked like it had recently been refurbished and was very nice. A shower over the bath and a European wc so no paper in the bin!

As described in other reports, the restaurant is a bit of a free for all but never hard to get to the food, which is always varied and well cooked. The salad bar was well stocked with the basics. Towards the end of the evening some items ran out but were replaced by an alternative. The main irritation was that children (mainly Italian) were allowed to run around the restaurant during meal times.

The snack bar food selection was limited but always good quality.

The pools were always kept very clean. A suggestion to the hotel would be to move the slides from the beach side swimming pool to the children's pool, leaving it to be an "adults only" pool as there was not really a pool for adults to get away from the kids.

The beach itself is a gritty, sandy beach with stones to get past entering the water. Once in, the water is clear and it is worth snorkelling to see the abundance of sea life especially if you take a couple of bread rolls into the water with you!

Outside the hotel, there are s handful of small supermarkets and other restaurants. A 20 minute walk will take you to Lardos village. Take a short bus ride into Pefkos for a bit more evening life.

We were there for a week of R&R and we certainly got that. The staff all round the hotel were very friendly and efficient. The grounds were kept up together well and although it has been open for 8 years is showing no signs of tiredness at all.

The guests were mainly Italian and Eastern European, with a few Brits. It was a shame that one family of Brits out for a wedding treated the place like a travellers camp and took over a lot of the slide pool with their inflatable this and that, circling their sunbeds so no-one could get past and bringing beers back 10 at a time, plus 6 pina colada's. In one afternoon they managed to drive half of the regulars away with their behaviour and loudness!

Still that said, you could always get away from them in this large complex.

The animation team worked very hard throughout the day and evening to keep every one entertained. Yes it was a bit of a pain listening to him having to announce the acts in 6 different languages, but hey - it isn't the West End!

So in summary, this is a good All Inclusive hotel, offering good rooms and quality food in the restaurants, located right on the beach. We would go back.

Just back from Rhodes and stayed at the all Inclusive Lindos Princess Hotel. Travelled with Direct Holidays and everything went smoothly.

The Hotel on arrival had that awe factor and the reception area is stunning.

Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful as were all the staff.

Staff in the restaurants were cheery and helpful and the food was excellent thoughout the stay with plenty to choose from. Only criticism was the beach snack bar as the chips were always luke warm but you cant expect everything.

Entertainment was Ok and plenty to do through the day.

There are multiple swimming pools and our two year old grandson had a brilliant time using the pool with the snake slides every day.

Large rooms with sitting areas and air conditioning were very comfortable.

I would definately book this holiday again at this hotel.

Myself and my partner just got back from a 1 week all inclusive at this resort. Upon arrival we had our passports taken from us and told we could have them back once we completed a registration form. We were directed to our rooms and not given the choice to complete the form there and then and get our passports back. I did not think this was on, your passport being your most precious item when away abroad really!! Having been up since an early time and spent plenty of time, travelling I did not make an issue and getting it back later was not an issue, but be prepared.
We were shown to our room and we had a ground level pool facing view. We had paid for a side sea view and when I rang reception asking to be moved I was abruptly told that there were no sea view rooms left in the entire complex. I then suggested a free upgrade would be had to one of the superior suites (only 8 on the comlex) to compensate and was requested we returned to reception. Upon arrival a sea view room had been found and we was ushered off to our new room. Once again the reception staff did not seem that interested in us. This was one of my biggest complaints of the week. Many people have put in there reviews that the staff are friendly but I saw otherwise. Abrupt, non-interested and not particulary helpful would be how I describe them. I later learnt from our rep that a masseage had been left for us on our arrival. This had never been passed across to us. The day before we left we utilised reception to ring and confirm our tranfers. It transpired they had recieved a fax confirming the transfer but it had been misplaced and we had not been given and would not have been given any information unless we asked.
We found there to be little English staying in the hotel. Most guests were Russian, German, Polish, Italian and French. I found time and time again a greater reception was given to the 'Eastern Bloc' guests by staff than to us. They were clearly preferred to us English and I found this dissappointing. I expect everyone to be treated as equals.
As mentioned in other reviews here, the main restuarant was a bit of a nightmare. Its fair to say that the food is more warm than hot but also fair to say that there is a huge choice. Trying to get a table is like playing a game of musical chairs....wear your war paint to dinner!! The Eastern guests are ignorant and quite aggressive in the restuarant at the best of times and they will not hestitate to push past, push in or steal your table!!!
The room was a good size and I was loving the telephone in the toilet!! I see alot of good reviews on the fact the mini bar is well stocked with drinks and is free. You pay for it in the all inclusive price so its not free and ultimately they are re-stocked every other day. There are no condiments in the room whatsoever meaning make sure you take all your own soaps/shampoos etc as none are provided. The rooms are air-conditioned which makes a huge differance to your comfort, especially as it was 29 degrees most days. The toilet repeatedly gave off a strong sewage smell. This happened towards the end of the holiday and was quite rank. Not spending much time in the room, didnt make much of an issue for us but still a downer none the less. The rooms do not have tea making facilities. I for one live on tea and was disspaointed that it was not provided as standard. A phone call to reception quickly ascertained a kettle could be and would be provided, however this never arrived. I had also asked for some tea, sugar etc to be brought with it and I was abruptly informed the hotel does not offer a room service! I subsequently asked for the kettle the following day, in person, at reception. It still never arrived and I never bothered asking again.
The pool facilities are great. The main pool is large to stop you being on top of each other, whilst the hotel provides other pools, varying on size and depth for differing ages. These were clean. The poolside boasts a superb number of sunbeds, sunbrellas and tables. Pool bars are in close vacinity to wherever you are seated.
The local town, Lindos is very close. A 5-10 minute taxi drive takes you to the town for 10euros. Ypu can catch a bus immediately outside the complex for 1.50euros each. When we went out, bad planning meant the bus was a 20 minute wait and so took a taxi. The driver was very friendly and was probably a better choice of transport given the immense heat. Once in the town, I strongly recommend taking a trip to the acropolis. This is beautiful and has breath taking views and lots of history. It does have a 6euro p/p entry fee. You can take a donkey ride up/down. We didnt do this in order to take in the views and did feel for the donkeys in the heat, but is an option.
The hotel hosts a rep from Rhodos cars. We hired a car for the day from the rep and had a great day out exploring the island. I truely recommend this as over to the west side of the island we saw views, never seen before and the twisting roads, carved in to the mountain side with huge drops, adds a sense of danger.
To summarise I would recommend this hotel to others. It has lots of facilitys, such as the spa where we enjoyed great masages, sports such as table tennis, pool and water sports. It has a wide variety of food and advise to get booked in to one of the a'la carte restuarants. We did the Italian but be prepared for the steep prices on wine. We were advised on the 50 euro bottle of wine but a suggestion was made of the 35 euro bottle of the other was too steep for our wallet. We settled on a £10 GBP half bottle of white, which was lovely however expensive. The hotel is mainly geared for familys. One good thing was that no groups appeared to stay. Being on a romantic holiday with my girlfriend, I didnt want a rowdy group present but not having kids, it was hard not to get frustrated with constant screaming from children by the end fo the week. I was advise this mainly for familys with young babys/toddlers or those upto 12 yrs. The location, being about an hr and half from the airport, is worth the travel as is in a lovely area with everything you want and not too overcrowded.
Even though I have shown the negatives on this venue, all hotels have there flaws and these experiences may not be experienced by all. If I were to return to the island I would probably consider spending the extra money and staying somewhere such as the Lindos Blue.

The hotel has great amenities with three great swimming pools, lovely rooms and friendly, helpful staff.
Our only complaint would be with the main self service restaurant which was like trying to get served on a busy football terrace at peak times. Although the staff all appear to work hard the layout directs diners in to each others paths, there is often no logical layout to where food is in relation to putting a meal together and young children get lost in the stampede. The other pint is the interior part of the restaurant is a fly through for the local sparrow population who merrily bounce across tables picking up left overs.
Apart from this the atmospher elsewhere was really relaxed, ample sunbeds around the pools and on the beach. Watersports were great and the daytime entertainment for the kids was excellent.
Would have liked more than the odd night of enetertainment for the grown ups but what there was was decent as were the bar facilities.

I would go again if the restaurant was revamped and reorganised.

Stayed at this hotel in July with my brother and parents. Overall impression was excellent. Rooms very good. Food, could not fault. All areas kept extremely clean. Staff very friendly. Only faults would be that there is no entertainment for adults in the evening. Some live entertainment would be good. The only entertainment was for young children. With nothing to do outside of the hotel (only a couple of bars and restaurants within walking distance) we were limited with what to do in the evening. The mini bar in the room was a nice extra however, the only alcohol was beer, no wine or spirits!! If they looked at putting on extra entertainment and extended the mini bar, I would definately return.

Hello, we just returned from a 1 week holiday - all inclusive. The Lindos Princess Hotel is excellent with GREAT facilities. The rooms are clean, staff friendly, water activities aplenty, food GREAT and animation team fun. There was always fresh salads and fruit available during breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was available from morning to 12am (midnight), with a snack bar near the beach when the restaurants were closed. The pools in-doors and outside are clean and not too deep. The weather was GREAT all through the holiday. The layout of the hotel is excellent and the al a carte restaurants nice. There is a small town called Lardos which you can walk to and experience some culture. Lindos is only a bus ride away (1.50 Euro), where you can visit the wonderful Acropolis. A ride to the top via donkey will cost you 5 Euros p/p... Bless the donkeys!!! Once you have taken in the spectacular views, make your way down back into the town and experience one of the lovely kebabs. A taxi back to the hotel will be 10 Euros. Really hope that you enjoy the holiday and find this info helpful.

I just came back from Rhodos and I was very suprised. We went by the bus from the airport nearly two hours but me with my family take it as nice wya to see all type of landscape in Rhodos. When we came to the hotl they took our passport but if you give them the card with you signature they will give you back the passport and they are really nice too you when ou ask them something. In our room there was lots of space but in the shower the water wasnt working well.In the restaurant there was friendly stuff and lots of different type of food.In the evening you need to go to dinner at 7 because after that you will wait outside few minutes because there is not enough tables. With the minigolf you need to taky the balls in the morning and keep it as long as you want because it is hard to get the ball. The animation team was fantastic but not for teenagers because it is just for small children or adult you can do it with them but you will be the youngest there. In the evening there is some show and sometimes its quite fuuny. Three times a week there is music playing during night and it is really noisy so you cant sleep well
