“Luxury away from the crowds”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

We visited Lindian Village in early May of this year. At that time of year it was still very quite in the resort. We stayed in a standard 'mediterranean room', which was fine for us (nice bed, little balcony, very spacious bathroom). At arrival we got the chance to upgrade to one of the 'river suites' at a good deal, but since we usually don't spend a lot of time in the room we decided not to go for this.

We had complimentary half board and did eat a couple of times in the buffet restaurant. Food was fine, nothing spectacular, but above 'all inclusive standard'. Staff did their very best and they were very friendly (although not always very efficient).
Breakfast was very nice, good choice of food and live cooking of eggs/waffles/pancakes.

Resort itself looked pretty, very calm, very well maintained with lush gardens. There are a lot of beds at the swimming pool and at the beach, so no problems with 'reserved' beds. Sea is beautiful, very clear water, nice to swim in, but bring (or buy) water shoes to walk over the pebbles.

Worth mentioning: the excellent housekeeping!! The room was cleaned thoroughly (!!) twice a day (including towel changes). Very nice.

Location: as mentioned: away from it all. You need a car if you want to explore the island from here. If you have a car, location is perfect: close to Kiotari (big supermarket and very nice restaurant: Mourella), Lindos, Stegna (another very nice restaurant: Kozas) and the island is small enough to explore the rest of it as well.

What more to add? Prices for food and drinks are quit steep at the resort. So if you plan to spend your days here, go for the Pear-club (the 'all-inclusive' formula). If you like to go away during the day, it might be not worth the extra money.

Conclusion: I would go back here, especially in the spring or fall, when it is still nice and quite at Rhodos.

Just returned from a lovely relaxing week at lindian village, pool suites are a MUST, spotlessly clean and just how they look in the pictures!

Buffet really good...you could never go hungry and we ate in the Greek resaurant (€25 per person) which was lovely

No fighting for a sunbed and we always managed to get a beach bed....beach advice take shoes for the water unless you want to crawl out of the sea because of the stones!

Spa great if you want a massage, excerise classes (very gentle ones!) if you want them throughout the day

Water sports staff are great

All Staff are really lovely, but service at dinner (especially at the Greek night) and breakfast very "faulty towers" which was quite amusing

If you fancy somewhere different to eat go to lardos we ate at valantinos resaurant (€12 for a taxi) at a 3 course dinner with wine was about €40...food amazing

There is not much going on at night which wasn't really a problem for us, we did take a stroll to the beach at night and it would be lovely if the beds down there were lit up and you could be served drinks!

Would I recommend this hotel....hell yes!!!!

We went in the Lindian village from 29.05.2014 to 05.06.2014.
First of all, we had the all inclusive pension and that is the best thing to do, no problem or hesitation if we want to drink or eat something.

The hotel is wonderfull and well-maintained, employees are always willing to help you and are really kind (it is better to know a bit of English. But for people who don't speak english, there is no problem people of the hotel talk a lot of languages).
Rooms are clean and big enough. I would suggest for people who want to be really quiet to take a Suite which has its own swimming pool and garden (that was really nice).
There are 4 restaurants; the main restaurant (Buffet) where you can find a lot of different meals for all tastes, then you have a Seafood restaurant, a Greek restaurant and an Asiatic restaurant.
Everybody can find what he/she likes.
The swimming pool is really nice. The beach is also cool, it is a sand beach but just before to reach the sea there are shingles.

And a special mention for to the Bar close to the main swimming pool named "Pool Bar", there you will find several gentlemen (Michalis, Alex, Panos and Stefan) who are really dynamic, motivated and professional to serve cocktails, foods, drinks and so on... Clients are lucky to be served around the swimming pool and on the beach. You can request whatever you want, they will find always a way to satisfy your needs.
We had a lot of pleasure to exchange discussions and point of view, they are open-minded people and always with the smile.

For us, this was one of the best place we've stayed.

In conclusion, if you want have fun and enjoy your holidays choose the Lindian Village.

We booked this last minute and all I can say is it was amazing, very peaceful, totally relaxing and the river pool suite was the best I have ever stayed in.

The staff here are charismatic, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and great company, it was total luxury to stay in a hotel where everyone was smiling and happy.

Panos, michael and the pool bar staff were a pleasure to see every day and we exchanged great conversation every day whilst enjoying lunch by the main pool. Svesti is a first rate Guest Relations Manager and welcomed us like old friends on our arrival.

If you want to get away and do nothing then this is the place to go and it's definitely 5 star - try Theo the Matri de,s wine recommendation - first rate.

Room Tip: River pool suite

After arriving at Lindian Village early in the morning, we we're greeted with a welcome drink and some sweets. We were given a tour through the nice village while our room was cleaned. The staff was exceptionally friendly and nothing seemed to much to ask for.

This was something we experienced throughout our stay: the staff was very friendly, always smiling and willing to help out with absolutely anything!

We always ate at the main restaurant and (except the asian buffet, but this is not my taste anyway), everything was really good and there were many different dishes to choose from (I'm very picky when it comes to food, and I always found something good).

We had a really amazing week just relaxing at the nice pools and the beach with its crystal clear water.

The only small deficits I can think of were that the hotel ist really far away from everything. But since we just wanted to relax a week, it was perfect for us and the small shop in the hotel supplied us with everything we needed. If you want to see more from the island, you will need a rental car.
The other negative point is that the sunbeds at the pools and also the rooms could be cleaner. The floor in our room was always mopped up in a hurry, which was especially annoying when we took over the room from the other guests: who wants to find foreign hair on the floor. :-/

The Lindian Village is for sure not a five star luxus hotel. But for the price we've paid we got a week full of sun, relaxation, good food and extraordinary service.

Dear valued guest,

We are very pleased to hear you relaxed and filled your batteries while vacationing in Lindian Village.

In Lindian Village, use only the best and most fresh local ingredients for cooking in all of our restaurants and we are very glad that you enjoyed our Food & Beverage departments.

Unfortunately, we do not have any options for improvement regarding our geographic positioning on the island in respect to proximity with other facilities such as shops, clubs or resorts.
On the other hand though, this provides us with all the natural ambience necessary to create a relaxed atmosphere as well as “enabling” us to have a private beach for our guests’ satisfaction only, with the crystal clear waters you had the opportunity to enjoy.

Further on, to mitigate the fact that we are not in walking distance with certain touristic sites of the island, we co-operate on-site with a very reliable and reasonably priced Rent-A-Car service (Rodos Cars) with exceptional scores of guest satisfaction.

I would like personally to apologize for the insufficient cleanliness of the sunbeds you used as well as the hurry in which the cleaners prepared your room for “arrival”. For this specific reason, we have a 14.00 o’clock check-in time as to have the necessary time for our house keeping maids to re-assure everything is in order for the next guests to come in their room.

We are very proud of our 5-Star De Lux Rating, provided to us both from National and International Tourism institutions.
Hence, we would be extremely happy to treat your needs again in the and nullify totally any inconvenience you had with us in the past.

Please feel free to contact us with any further query or note you might have at:

We arrived at Lindian Village in the very early hours of the morning and were greeted by very friendly members of staff who handed us much needed refreshments. We were checked in very efficently and driven to our suite. shortly after room service arrived with food and water and a bottle of rose which were all complimentary. We were taken back by how stunning the whole village looked and how much work and effort had gone into it. The standard of food was amazing so much food that was produced to such a high standard and the service in the resturant was second to none nothing was to much trouble always smiling and willing to help we found it a pleasure to dine there every night. Our suite was kept spotless by the cleaners and the pool was cleaned every morning before we were awake. We had a spa treatment that was very relaxing. Reception staff were so helpfull and sorted us with a late checkout as we had a late transfer. We will definately be coming back to celebrate future anniversarys!
