“Brilliant Hotel”

We just came back from our stay at Hotel Pantokrator and we are very happy we chose this hotel for our holiday in Corfu.
The staff at the hotel were very helpful from the friendly receptionists to the restaurant/pool/bar staff and room maids. We had tasty Greek food at the hotel such as moussaka, souvlaki, pies and vegetarian options on a daily basis. There was always plenty of food at the restaurant buffet.
Our accommodation was modern and clean with amazing views from our room balcony across the bay to Corfu town.
We are thinking of booking Hotel Pantokrator for our holiday again next year !!!
I would recommend this Hotel to families , young couples and friends.

Room Tip: Book one of the Hotel's luxury rooms ,they are stylish and well worth the cost!

Very nice view, polite stuff, modern reception area, nice pool area but.......
We booked 1 luxury (!) room and we got a 2 room apartment without being informed I still don't know why we had to pay for 2 rooms since we were 1 couple not a family! The breakfast- dinner area had no air condition on July with 38c!!! The area was full of wasps so you couldn't eat your breakfast outside, but not even inside because it was too hot! The pool bar was not open until 11:00 so we had to wait for any other coffee than filter! The free wifi wouldn't allow you to visit any site, our luxury room was furnished totally by IKEA, the pool was closed after 6:00, the left overs from dinner where used for breakfast, the fridge wouldn't cool anything, the TV was older than my self.... If I had paid 50€ per night all of the above would be expected but I paid 130€!!!! I wouldn't go back EVER!!!!!

Just got back from 2 weeks at this Hotel and everything was perfect.

The food was exceptional, the staff were fantastic and the views / location very special.

There were 8 of us staying in 4 superbly appointed, very modern rooms which were cleaned to a high standard every day. Its so nice to go back to an air-conditioned, pleasant environment with all home comforts to hand.

We had some great nights in the trendy bar - crazy cocktails, too much Alfa beer and brilliant service.

The pool bar food and service was spot on - so friendly and always something perfect to eat and drink for a long, hot lazy lunch.

Friendly reception, restaurant and service staff all made the holiday special.

I would highly recommend this high quality Hotel to couples and families alike .

Room Tip: Go for luxury - well worth it and all finished to a very high standard.

stayed here for 2 weeks from Aug 1st, we upgraded at the check in after being shown our standard room !!!! which was rather dark had no bed for my 7yr old and the sea view was obstructed by another room. Elaine the British receptionist is very helpful and prof and a little wasted on this hotel I feel. This is not a normal hotel it is a hotel with separate apartment rooms set into a hill, we ended up with 609 right up the very top which had a great view, but be warned I train in the gym everyday for over an hour and after doing the bottom hill then the other 2 up to our room I was shattered after walking it in the 40 drg heat. The hotel itself is ok pool does have lots of wasps but we never saw one person get stung, although we did only use the pool a few times as it lacked any '' fun '' element and has a strange strained atmosphere, stacks at the bar are ok sunbeds were always avail as were the large foam lounging beds. Sadly it shuts around 6 ish as does the snack area so it becomes a large wasted area that could be used as a great place to have a chilled evening snack rather than a large restaurant meal, and with a few tables dotted about would be a real nice place to have a pool side evening drink. Breakfast was nice good range for all countries staff nice and chatty. Night time roof terrace was a welcome stop off after the first 2 hill walks view from here is good, again however the huge and well furnished bar area was wasted with no entertainment and a rather grumpy bar man. And so to the shuttle bus !!!!! on the only time we use it, my son had a bad tummy one afternoon on the way back from the beach the driver, had to wait 2 mins whilst my son used the toilet !!!!! oh my god the driver had a right throwing teddy strop pacing up and down moaning he had to wait then drove like nigel mansel up the hill throwing us about in the van losing money from his pockets then on getting to the top searching for it in the back and asking us it we had his 2 euros !!!!!! avoid him and his shuttle bus at all costs we never asked for a lift gain after that day. Overall a rather wasted hotel which has huge huge room for improvement and the possibility to do so but just seems un bothered by the waste of its own very large space, yeah the views are good and the breakfast is ok but, its not worth the upgrade the walk up the hills and steps or a re visit sorry, Pantokrator you need to re vamp and inject some fun and energy into yourself, and instruct your shuttle bus driver to calm down and treat your customers with a little more respect we used him once in 2 weeks due to an ill little boy and were made to feel like we'd killed his pet dog and robbed the money he lost, so although we had a blast we sadly wont be back.

Room Tip: get a lower room and don't use the shuttle bus.

We just returned from our trip to Greece and Pantokrator Hotel in Barbati was one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel, as most reviewers say, are on the steep hill and if you’re not into hiking or stairmastering, this hotel is not for you. That said, when you make it up to the hotel, the views are gorgeous!

The lobby area is very spacious, modern, opens up into outside area with comfy chairs and beautiful views. The only improvement they could do would be to add some fans as it gets hot and still air makes it uncomfortable. It’s also the only area where you can get Wi-Fi. Next to the lobby is a bar where a very nice bartender Spiros will be happy to pour an adult beverage. True that there is no formal entertainment at night, but they play fantastic music at night and you can always create your own fun. We suggest bringing cards.

We had a standard room that needed to accommodate 3 people and the room was ready at 10 am when we arrived from our cruise. It was nice to be able to check in that early and go to the beach. The room was simple, clean and with the beautiful views.

It wasn’t my intention, but somehow I booked the room with half-board and couldn’t cancel it. Luckily, it was a very fortunate mistake as the food at the hotel was fantastic! They have breakfast and dinner buffets and the food is always varied and very delicious. We couldn’t believe that the quality of food could be so good. There were also couple varieties of an amazing ice cream in addition to 4 different deserts at dinner time. The dinning room is above the pool, and you can eat either inside or outside on the huge balcony, again enjoying beautiful views. The staff, especially our favorite waiter Valentin, is super efficient, polite, attentive, speaks perfect english; we couldn’t be happier with their service.

The beach is down the hill from the hotel. There is one right once you cross the street from the hotel and, yes, the steps are steep and the beach is small, but super beautiful. If you walk a bit to the right on the main street, you come to another bigger beach which has a very nice bar Armura Barbati. You can rent chairs, umbrellas and there are also showers. We recommend renting a boat at Emilio’s boat rental. They give you a short lesson and you can be your own captain for a day and visit all the other smaller beaches going up north. Totally worth it and so much fun!

Barbati is a quieter town but still has nice bars/restaurants if you like to go out. If loud and crazy is your cup of tea, then you can take a taxi to the nearby town Ipsos which caters to a much younger crowd. It has lots of loud bars, drinks specials and opportunities to body-surf and/or do body shots if you fancy that.

We also rented a car for a day. The car rental is down the hill from the hotel or they can bring you a car to the hotel. If you do rent it, Paliokastritsa is a place to visit on the other side of the island. Warning, the signs on the roads are scarce and not very clear so having a map helps.

To summarize - great place to stay! I wish we stayed there longer.

Room Tip: I think they all face the sea.

FIRSTLY I MUST SAY THE STAFF OF THIS HOTEL/BUTLINS ARE EVRY,VERY NICE AND KEEP THE PLACE VERY VERY CLEAN.THE DECOR IN THE LOBBY IS LOVELY...BUT IT ALL ENDS THERE.
1) the rooms are lucky to be 2 star..smelly,small and not at all like the pictures...dangerous in places...fridge turns of when you go out...no wifi at all..no cupboards...shower stinks...crumbling in places. No one seems to get the room they booked...mmmmm !!!
2)pool area has a bar with food..but it needs it as you are not allowed to eat anything of your own at anytime...hence the reason tehre are always sunbeds available...shuts at 6pm so no dip when you get back from the beach....full of wasps all the time.
3) the food...well its buffet style...what did we expect ???!! the bufet area is always clean and kept that way.
4) the words LUXURY and 5 STAR must meen different things to different people....this site is far from LUXURY and should not be described that way....but i guess they rely on suckers like us.
IN A NUT SHELL....THIS PLACE IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS ON THE WEBSITE AND WE COULD NOT RECOMEND IT AS A 5 STAR OR EVEN LUXURY RESORT.
IF YOU DO BOOK THIS RESORT MAKE SURE YOU ARE SHOWN THE EXACT ROOM YOU BOOK AND THAT THERE IS NO CONFUSION...ALSOASK HOW YOU CAN KEEP YOUR FRIDEG ON WHILTS OUT OF THE APARTMENT..IF YOU AR A FAMILY...BOOK ELSEWHERE AS THE APARTMENST ARE FAR TO SAMLL.
BARBATI ITSELF IS FANTASTIC AND GREAT FOR PEOPLE F ALL AGES...YOU WILL NOT BEAT IT.

We spent just three nights here in July.We wish it could have been more, really loved it.Great room ,fab views, lovely food , nice staff. We did hire a car from the airport so we were able to use it to drive up and down from our room to reception and restaurant also to get to the beach so we didn't have the problem some reviewers did .(it is a seriously steep hill!)Would definitely stay here again
