We've spent a couple of weeks in the area and found most of the taverns/restaurants very touristy and lacking in quality somewhat. We ended up returning to Savvas Grill a few times as their food is bright, full of flavors and more authentic (well, at least from a foreigners POV).
The service is attentive, but laid-back and unintrusive. We avoided the dance and bouzouki nights as we were with small children.
All in all, very warm experience.
