A great hotel. Modern & quite stylish. I stayed in a very spacious and comfortable room at the back. No seaside view, but sun on the balcony in the morning. The staff masters the art of making you feel like you're their favorite guest. The hotel has a brand new lounge bar and, best of all, a fantastic restaurant.

We were excited about staying in this lovely looking hotel as we got a good rate and it sounded fantastic. In reality, it was good but not great. It's very new so everything is nice and it's well designed. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We didn't appreciate the lack of a hook to place the shower handle, meaning you had to hold the handle while taking a shower - very annoying. However, the bath itself was lovely.
The staff were really making an effort to be professional and accommodating but we found them a bit too forced and uptight. It's a holiday island so they could relax a little and still be professional!
We were keen to try the restaurant as we love eating out but when we saw the menu it was a bit uninspiring and looked very over-priced (we had already had a few disappointing meals in Corsica by this stage so not willing to be burnt again).
The location was a little odd, nothing much around, you definitely need a car. The room was a bit noisy as it was right on the main road (although fine with the window closed, no problems sleeping).

The restaurant food is top, service very good. Decoration for me was cold and without insparation. To much light, to much kitch! It is just not cosy enough. Anyway thats my feeling. Also rooms very clean but without charming touch.Rooms in front next to busy street. I woold go back to restaurant for the great kitchen without any doubt but not to stay over in hotel.

We have liked it so much that I almost resent leaving a review rather than keep it to myself ;-)
Lumio is a very lovely village, hanging to a hill. 20 mns/8kms away from Calvi (the Citadelle can be seen from the hotel). You will need a car for a stay there (plenty of parking space). Many beaches 10-15 mns by car from the hotel (Matahari, Bodri, San Ambrogio).
Recently renovated, nicely decorated (modern, sober) it is and feels clean and roomy.
What stroke me most was the amiability of the staff (in every functions) - not easily found these days. Both staff and management are extremely welcoming , efficient and discreet in taking care of the hosts.
I would advise to make sure you get a room (eventually with balcony) on the sea side. The view (mare i monte) is beautiful. The balconies are large and it is wonderful to end or start the day with a drink, looking at the bay. Rooms on the mountain side will not provide this experience.
The bedroom was very clean, large with soft, modern decoration (my friend found too minimal ...). Excellent bedding, minibar, great bathroom (linen , and amenities by Morabito). Flat screen TV, remote control for A/C.
The swimming pool (piscine a debordement) is of a nice size (given the hotel is in the vilage), very clean, with good equipement (longchairs, shade etc.). Not sure towels are made available (did not find them). However, it gets crowded at the end of the day and there are not always enough chairs for everyone.
Excellent breakfast (pastries bread and toasts, fresh fruit salad, cured meat and cheese, eggs, yoghurts - expresso on demand etc), Taken on the terrasse. again with the gorgeous view.
If you can afford I very strongly recommend the hotel's restaurant (Oggi). 1 star on the Michelin guide. I will leave a separate review for the restaurant.
On the low side: the hotel is right off the coastal road. But the rooms are perfectly isolated and it is not much of an issue either on the Restaurant terrasse. The swimming pool is where is bothered me more ; there is no bar at the swimming pool (but a phone to ask for service - it seems a rationale choice for a small hotel, but it would be nice if someone came to propose now and then, and especially around lunch ime or late afternoon - just a suggestion to the management).

We regretted very much that due to late booking we could only stay 2 nights ... I can't wait to board this hotel again.

An excellent hotel. Rooms very spacious and modern ours had a super king size bed and large flat screen tv which received BBC world. The staff were, without exception, fabulous, nothing was too much trouble and special mention should be made of Dominic the head waiter who is also an artist and a Leonard Cohen fan - he made our holiday. The pool was kept in pristine condition as were all the communal rooms and our bedroom. The hotel is, unfortunately on the side of a busy main road so you need to book a mountain view room at the rear. The restaurant is a tad expensive even by Corsican standards but it certainly keeps the riff raff out and there are many other places to try within a short drive. The staff and the level of service really made our holiday here.

Great View Great Hotel Very friendly....breakfast was a bit expensive as others mentioned but there is a little snack bar in Lumio village where you can get almost the same breakfast fo 2 for less than the the price of one in the hotel. The hotel was lovely, quiet, friendly, very new and modern, in fact a little too modern, a few teething problems that need to be ironed out in the rooms.
