Another restaurant we've been coming to for years. Very stylish. More akin to what you'd maybe find in a corner of a One & Only hotel in Maurituis. In fact the cuisine has a Mauritian influence with some dishes infused with subtle spices.
I should probably give Mata Hari 5 for food but I give it a 4 because frankly 5 in my book is for the top Michelin star-level restaurants.
I love this place because the food is good, ditto service (les garçons in their white shorts and polo shirts... Yep, very reminiscent of a One & Only). The view is spectacular, being opposite side of Calvi Bay looking towards a sun-drenched Citadel) and choppy sea between. Wonderful breeze blows through the restaurant.
It's stylish. Oiled teak tables, white awnings... Café del Mar or Bhudda Bar music in the background. It all comes together to create a trendy establishment that's not over-run because you need a car to get to this remote beach.
