“A birthday to remember.”
Reviewed 3 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Marlene and Dave's cottage couldn't have been more ideal. There was a warm welcome including an incredible cream tea for all 12 of us! They were very relaxed about our visit, allowing swap overs as well as our group of slightly mad dogs. The location was beautiful and it was perfect distance to get to several beaches with a short drive. Car is definitely needed but holsworthy town would be a lovely cycle away. Lots of things to see and do whilst visiting and my friends especially enjoyed feeding to baby lambs (you never do grow old really!). I would definitely return as would everyone I stayed there with. Thank you so much!!

“Fabulous Family Accommodation in Perfect Location!”
Reviewed 21 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Perfect, accommodation whatever the weather. Great location for easy access to Okehampton and West Devon and perfect for exploring North Cornwall too!
The accommodation is spacious and well equipped, ideal for the twelve of us (6 adults and 6 children). The garden is equipped with a play area and games room (great for wet weather, though we were lucky enough not to need it this time). The owners, Marlene and David, are very friendly and welcoming (with homemade scones with jam and cream on arrival....fabulous after a long journey!), always on hand if you need anything too. This was our third visit...we love it and hope to be back again next year!

“awesome”
Reviewed 28 December 2013 for a stay in December 2013

we stayed over the christmas period and the house was decorated with christmas decs. we were welcomed with mince pies and cream. all rooms were immaculate through out and extremely clean. all being en-suite and warm and cosy. free wi-fi being available kept the kids happy a well as us adults. the hot tub was amazing as well as the snooker table in the choice of 2 games rooms. all ammenities were supplied ad we never went without at all during our stay. david and marlene were the perfect hosts and always went out of their way if we needed anything. a gorgeous place and cant wait till the next time we go and visit. would highly recommend this to anyone who wants peace and quiet or for the family break that my family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed.

“If you need a great place to holiday with a big family group, this is it”
Reviewed 20 September 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We have 3 teenagers and 2 younger children and Beech house had something for everyone. We had a great relaxing holiday. The kids loved feeding the lamb every morning. The jacuzzi was fab and easy to use, totally private. Marlene had a fab cream tea for us on arrival. There is a games room and outdoor play area. We had a long journey to get there but it was worth it! The house is spacious and is really comfortable. We were totally happy there.

“Amazing House”
Reviewed 20 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We travelled down for a few days with a group of friends and had an incredible time. The house was amazing. So many things to do: snooker table, football table, ping pong and we spent many hours just lounging in the jacuzzi. There was lots of stuff to do around the property as well and there is a helpful book of leaflets when you get there to tell you your options. We spent a lovely day on Bude beach which was only about 20 minutes drive away. Would definitely recommend and wish we could have stayed longer!

“Very welcoming and well equipped”
Reviewed 22 April 2013 for a stay in April 2013

We arrived at the house mid afternoon on the Friday and were greeted by the owner. She welcomed us and took us into the house. She showed us around and showed us how to use the wood burner in the dining room.
The house was lovely and warm and had a very homely feel. On the kitchen table there was a huge basket of home made scones, a dish of jam, a dish of clotted cream and a jug of fresh milk..
When we went up to the bedrooms there was a basket full of towels ready for our use. They also supplied special beach towels for hot tub.
Every bedroom was en-suite and had everything we needed.
The kitchen was also very well equipped with a lovely big range style cooker, microwave & toaster.
There was a baby lamb that we were allowed to care for. The owner had 2 sheep dogs that we were allowed to take out for a walk each day.
There was a games room just outside the house in a kind of out-house. This room had table tennis, football table, ice-hockey table, ball pool, skittles and some peddle toys for small children to play on.
We had a lovely week even though the weather was not too good for the first part of the week.
We are hoping to go back again in a couple of years.
