Just come back from spending a couple nights here- what a fab place.
You really could not ask for more from a holiday let. Friendly hosts, lovely accommodation, clean, dog friendly (important for us), even a fantastic games room where we squeezed in a game of pool and table football with my 14 year old son. Everything seems above and beyond the norm which is such a peasant surprise. The homemade lemon cake in the room was delicious and enjoyed almost upon arrival with a cup of tea by all three of us - even my husband who ‘doesn’t do cake!’
Bottle of chilled wine in the fridge again a lovely surprise.
Thankyou our time spent was lovely and perfect R and R!

“Fabulous short stay”
Reviewed 23 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

So glad we found Swifts Barn what a fabulous place to stay in. We booked 4 days last minute as we wanted a base to explore this part of Devon/ Cornwall as an area to retire to. We were so warmly greeted by lovely friendly hosts. The cottage is so comfortable and relaxing with everything you need and more. Sandra had left us a lovely bottle of wine in the fridge and a scrumptious lemon drizzle cake, what a nice touch. Just in case you may have forgotten odd things, there was a basket of sugar, milk, tea and coffee. Also some dishwasher tabs too and other essential kitchen items. The beds / bedrooms are lovely and comfortable. The outside space / garden is nice to sit out in which we did manage a couple of evenings even in our topsy turvy British weather. All in all we will definitely be returning and thoroughly recommend.

“Absolutely loved our stay”
Reviewed 19 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The stay here was amazing. Only went for a two night stay but felt right at home straight away, really didn't want to be back.
The downstairs is spacious and cosy and absolutely everything we required was provided for. The owners were very welcoming and approachable and were always at hand if we had any questions or requirements. Will definitely be going back.

“Great place to unwind”
Reviewed 22 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We booked Swift Barn at short notice for a weekend trip to Devon. So glad we did. The communications were great and we arrived very late. Sandra was there to greet us and show us into the accommodation. The property has everything you need even dishwasher tablets. There was a selection of teas and coffees a lovely homemade cake and even a bottle of wine cooling in the fridge. The attention to detail is excellent. We have a Golden Retriever and there was even a drinking bowl and pair of wellies for walking him on the field.
The main bedroom is spacious and on a clear night you could see the stars. A twin room was perfect for our girls and there was another bedroom with bunk beds we didn't use. The owners are very helpful and knowledgeable. Even providing an OS map and directions to a lovely wooded dog walk. We didn't use the firepit or barbecue.
Everything is well maintained, modern, fresh and clean. Holsworthy is a great location for getting to surfing beaches in Devon and Cornwall. We visited the Rydon pub which had great food and a fish and chip shop in Bude.
There was slight road noise as we had the velux open but it didn't stop us having a very relaxing time.
Would definitely stay again for longer next time and will recommend to friends and family,

“Splendid accomodation, perfect for young children”
Reviewed 15 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We recently stayed at Swifts Barn and had a lovely stay. There were 4 adults and 4 young children (aged 1-4) who all had a great time. Sadly the weather wasn't up to much but that didn't stop us having fun. The accommodation was perfect for children and things like a stair gate were very welcome. We had a lovely decked area (sadly couldn't make the most of it because of the weather) as well as access to a lovely climbing frame and swings. Sandra is a wonderful host and left us a bottle of wine and a fantastic homemade lemon drizzle cake which was much appreciated.

If you are looking for quiet, self catered accommodation in the area I don't think you could find better. We are already planning on returning!

“Great Place to Relax”
Reviewed 4 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Stanbury Wharf and its two barns are an excellent place to unwind and relax. There is more space in the barns than the pictures show and the beds are comfortable. Brilliant welcome pack from Sandra and Kerrin. They are lovely people and are always on hand to help.

It was an excellent holiday and well worth visiting. Bude, North Cornwall coast and Boscastle are not far. The Eden Project is only 1 hour and 10 minutes away.

Well equipped barns and everything you would want.
