We asked that one room had a king bed and the other had two. All rooms seem to have a king bed made of two twin beds which seems cheap if you ask me. But anyway one of the rooms was supposed to be made separately. This was not the case. When brought up to reception the man followed upstairs and began to yell and 11:30 pm. It was ridiculous. It was a simple ask and it was booked this way. The taller white reception man with short light brown hair was rude and left a horrible impression on me. Would not recommend to anyone and he should be dealt with. As you walk into a hotel you would expect to be greeted with a kind welcome but instead we had dealt with an angry receptionist who didn’t know what to do. Otherwise this hotel would have had a nice rating. Might be a one off but I’m sure it has happened to other people.

We were booked for 3 nights, but because of some maintenance work they were doing, the room we were in our first night had no water the second day. Instead of moving us to another room the moved us to another hotel! For 1 night! And then made us move back, because the second hotel was fully booked the following night. So in 3 days we stayed in 3 different hotel rooms in 2 different hotels. We could never unpack and had to leave our bags in the reception office for 2 days while we toured Venice, not the safest feeling. The staff was at best moderately understanding of our irritation and offered no upgrade or accommodate for the inconvenience. We even had to pay a separate local tax at the second hotel!

Acknowledging that the above is likely an atypical experience, more general comments are: Hotel restaurant is nice and the food is good, but its nothing special; hotel caters to large group tours, so the restaurant is adjacent to a very noisy group tour dining room which detracts from the otherwise upscale restaurant experience; parking lot is narrow and crowded and exiting requires a tight 3-point turn. We drove into Venice one day and took the train the next. Would strongly recommend using the train station at Pregnanziol and NOT the one in Treviso.

The hotel was beautiful and a quick drive from the train to Venice. We did have an issue with the AC in our room, which was never really rectified besides a small fan that didn't really cool the room down, but we still enjoyed our stay.
