Stay here with work it's a great place to come back to & unwind
Rooms are always clean & tidy, only problem the higher the room numbers are a little dated
very quiet & great views, fantastic sunrises at the right time of the year
Has a restaurant within the hotel serves very good food .

Stayed: November 2013, travelled on business
Thank Colin B

My husband and I booked in for one night as a special treat in advance of his three day golf stay. Once you find the hotel, the long distance views from our superior room to the coast from the hotel were stunning. The staff were very helpful from reception through to housekeeping and service in the restaurant. Good selection with reasonable prices on the dinner menu when we decided to stay in for food.
The local countryside must be explored - Staithes is a must.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view

Excellent value overnight stay and 2 rounds of golf. The room was excellent both in terms of presentation and decor ,i believe it has just been refurbished.
The staff were extremely helpful and efficient and the choice and standard of food was brilliant, would recommend this break to anyone and will do it again in the future.

My wife have just stayed at Hunley Hall for a three day golf break booked via Golf Breaks, who we use every year.
We have played at better courses but have also played at worse, so would say the two courses we played were average, the greens and tees in good condition. Some of the holes with water features were challenging whilst other holes were a touch basic and agricultural. The views are fantastic.
All in all we would return and play again.
The Hotel is first class. The service exceptional and every member of the hotel staff should be proud of themselves.
If we have had a better breakfast then I can not recall it.
The evening menu was fine for us and the quality was fine.
We both felt as though we were valued guests.
We will have no hesitation in returning to Hunley Hall Hotel and the golf courses.

Just returned from a golfing package based on Hunley Hotel. 2 nights Dbb plus Hunley, Seaton Carew and Saltburn.

There were 8 of us, all in separate rooms. The whole package was booked through Hunley and everything was faultless. Thanks Nikki.

From the moment we arrived until we left, nothing was too much trouble and everybody was cheery. This was world class customer service like you never get in the UK.

Some people might find the breakfast portcullis a little early at 9am but that is a minor detail when you can eat food this good, freshly prepared and simply superb, especially at dinner.

Excellent choice of beers; spectacular views. The golf course is still maturing but is superbly maintained and the views more than compensate for its relative youth. Although it is uphill and down dale for half the course, the fairways are forgiving and it is both easy enough for high handicaps and challenging enough for better players.

And meanwhile they are offering some stunning deals right now.

Get there. You won't be disappointed, even if you just come for the views and to relax.

Thank you to each and every member of staff. All 8 of us were simply blown away (but not by the wind...)

Room Tip: Ask for one of the newer or refurbished rooms, must have a view!

My pals and I returned again to Hunley for a 2 day golf break and we were once again very pleased with the facilities. The hotel rooms are smart and very clean. The food in the restaurant and bar is first class but specially good in the restaurant, beautifully presented by cheerful staff. The choice of beer in the bar is also good (probably too good !). The golf course itself is very challenging, especially the Morgan course. There are 27 holes and you play a different course each day, each one is in first class condition. The only negative point is the attitude of the staff in the pro shop. They are a dour bunch who won't look up from the computer to speak to you. It is not too difficult to smile and say hello to customers who enter the shop and it does make a difference to ones experience. They could learn a lot from the hotel staff but I would still highly recommend a visit to Hunley. See you next year.

Room Tip: All rooms are good but a sea view would be great as the view is stunning.

The Hunley is where you begin to feel the weight of Trip Advisor reviews. By the front desk, a Trip Advisor decal of excellence is displayed, and the staff encourages you to add your impressions. Saltburn by the Sea is not on the main tourist path. It's primarily a destination golf resort -- and we didn't play golf, although it does look inviting. The rooms are clean, but rather spartan in their accommodations. Although there were few guests staying at the Hotel, we could get a room with a King bed. The best we could do is two double beds. Although there is a wonderful view to be had of the links overlooking the sea, the rooms have smallish windows. It must be because of the strong winds that sweep through. We did have breakfast and dinner -- both were better than we anticipated. We were luck in that fact, I guess. Where else are you going to eat in Saltburn. All in all though, the Hunley was a pleasant surprise.

Room Tip: I'm not sure the room location makes a difference at the Hunley.
