Everybody was very kind. Prices of drinks were ok. Dinners are served, they offer 3 variants of main course and dessert. Portions are small, be sure to have backup:)
Hotel is from the 80s.
They had problems with Wifi for guests, lady from reception kindly borrowed me her tablet...
Minibar was empty, light bulb was missing.
If you expect 4 star service, you'll be dissapointed, but if you don't expect that, you'll be fine, specially if you get good price.
Positioned at the top of the hill has nothing special in the surroundings..

I stayed at the Bellevue hotel in March 2013 and was there with friends for a skiing vacation. As a whole I am disappointed with my stay and would not recommend the place.
The hotel building, its entire interior and furniture make the impression they come from the early 80s, the reception area and "lobby" are quite unwelcoming and small. If you are lucky enough to get a room with a lake view, you will probably find it nice and spacious, but the rooms on the back side are very small with an even smaller bathroom that gets flooded every time you take a shower. I also had a hard time sleeping, because it was too hot in the room and the air was extremely dry.
The indoor swimming pool is not very big, but actually fine, the sauna is badly maintained and was often too cool.
Most of the staff, including the lady that hides behind a computer at the reception desk, are impolite and badly trained. They get nicer when you order drinks at the bar, but will still charge you a small fortune for a bottle of water at dinner that's not even guaranteed to be mineral. If you try bringing in your own drinks from outside, they will fine you with 30 Euro.
Breakfast was nice and there was plenty of it, but it offered the same choice every day plus juices that you wouldn't normally drink. The meals that were served for dinner didn't exactly match what you've ordered and were small and insufficient after a day of skiing.
However, the worst imression was left not by the hotel and its staff, but by the owner. One day, he just arrived with a bunch of friends and his sons and the hotel suddenly started working only for them. Furthermore, they parked their huge Mercedeses right in front of the entrance and left them there for days. And the owner's attitude towards the guests can simply be described as extremely rude.
As a whole Bellevue made an impression of a family hotel run by moody people, offering a service dating back to the 1980s. Definitely not a 4-star hotel.

Calling it a 4-star hotel is a total misnomer! The staff and the hotel customs are outrageous! Confused or upfront rude people are those working there. The dinner meals were out of a can. The hotel and the rooms are 70s style and possibly age. It is a shame as the spot is very ok and there great resorts nearby if u have a car.

We visited hotel for skiing. Rooms are rather small with furniture and design from early 80s with renovated bathrom but also small. Breakfast and dinner very poor, every other day the same dishes. Waitress very rude especially when you don't order payable drinks. Internet costs 10 euro a week and it's speed and range are very poor when your room is to far from a router.
In Seeboden is nothing to do, there're a few restaurants but opened till 6 PM.

Room Tip: Not the cheapest one.

I stayed in this hotel with my husband and friends for two nights in September 2012 on a special offer package. My feeling was that this the hotel does not deserve 4 star.
Bellevue is situated approximately 10-15 minutes min downhill walks to the Millstaettersee. Good location to visit other places on this lake.
Our rooms were not not facing the lake, they were bit dark and small, relatively clean but the beds were very uncomfortable and noisy.
The day we arrived the temperature dropped to approximately 10 degrees. The rooms were cold with less than 18 degrees as the central heating was not yet on. I went to the reception and complained. Within 5 minutes we got a heater and our rooms became warm in half an hour.
The reception was old-fashioned. It was unusual to see the receptionist siting behind a desk and a computer when talking to guests.
Breakfast buffet was ok but dinner was not corresponding to a 4 star hotel - rather small and not tasty.
I do not thing to stay again in this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the lake are large and have a balcony.

Just back from this hotel and whilst I'm not usually one to post such comment, I feel there are a few things definitely worth knowing about this hotel in the hope it might help others in the future.

Firstly, we were there on a special offer package so can't really complain but had we been paying full price I certainly wouldn't have been satisfied. I would say the hotel is definitely more 3 star than 4 star. Sometimes I wonder where these star ratings come from because last year we stayed in another 4 star hotel elsewhere in Austria which was totally amazing and more like 5 stars.

The location of the Belleve is good. It's about a 10/15 min downhill walk to the lakeside but of course that's uphill on the way back! The rooms are ok, large, clean(ish) and comfortable - there were things lurking under the bed that had obviously been there some time! A plus is that as its set on a small hill and away from the road it is very peaceful which made for a good night's sleep.

The reception area didn't create a great impression, rather old-fashioned and the receptionist sits behind a desk and a computer when talking to guests and seems reluctant to get up unless necessary.

However, the biggest RIP-OFF ever is the mineral water which is placed on every table at dinner time. DO NOT, unless you are rich or mad, drink this. This water is on sale at the supermarket, which is 5 mins away, for 63 cents - the Bellevue charge 5.30 euro for this, outrageous, how do hotels get away with such charges.

The food the first night was ok as it was a buffet with a large selection of cold meats/salad to start then hot dishes and desserts. However the 2nd night there was only a salad buffet and the main meal was served (you choose this at breakfast). The salad buffet was measly and by 6.45 running short and when I enquired was told there was no more (dinner is served from 6pm to 8.30pm so god help you if you go to dinner later than 7pm). The main meal was ok but rather small and the dessert, ha ha, like something for a child - a tiny glass with a spoonful of tinned fruit, a dollop of cream and icecream and a sponge finger - is that worthy of 4 stars, I think not.

I didn't use the (small) pool but my partner did and said it was ok, the 'fitness room' comprises 2 bikes and a cross-trainer so don't expect too much. We hired bikes (5 euros for a half day) which were ok and had a nice ride around the lake - I'd recommend this if you like cycling. The south side path is through the forest with quite a few ups and downs and the north side almost flat and beside the road.

So, overall a mixed experience. If this hotel was 3 stars it would be good but for a 4 star hotel its rather disappointing and poor.

The hotel is located on a higher position so that you have a wonderful view over the lake. We were very impressed by the friendly personnel and the familial atmosphere. Our room was looking onto the lake and the Goldeck! It was quite large and all clean and cosy. Only to bathroom would need some renovation.

Room Tip: Rooms to the lake offer a wonderful sight.
