“Maybe not again”
Reviewed 5 January 2013

This restaurant was one of our favorite, we all have off days, but unfortunately this place seems to have run out of steam or they have changed the Chef. The food has gone down hill,Kurma well its made with a sauce thats so thin its practically see through with no taste at all, passanda that was so burnt you could smell the burn and taste the charcoal. my daughter ordered a Barha, normally made with apricots, came with big slimy chunks of mango in. The owner came out and explained he had forgotten to tell anyone that he had changed the ingredients.Tables were dirty, cutlery came out in drips and drabs, some of the order was totally forgotten. ! staff on in restaurant, chef in kitchen, table of 8,6,4 and 2x2, so very slow service.Would we go back or take away? I dont think so,unless the owner hears what is being said. Was the best, now wouldn't rate it. Sorry

“Best Indian in Wales”
Reviewed 8 November 2011

Randomly situated in bynea above a rugby club! Entrance is around the back and as you climb the stairs you wonder what you've got yourself in for!

Once you reach the restaurant you are amazed to find the crackers looking restaurant I've ever seen!

The food was fantastic! One of the best Indians I've had in the uk! Staff were friendly and polite and couldn't do enough!

Only real downpoint was that it was very quiet so didn't have the atmosphere you get from a busy restaurant!

Don't let this put you off though, the food is awesome and well worth a visit!

“Quirky Indian Igloo with fabulous food!”
Reviewed 26 August 2011

We went to Barbucci for my grandmother's birthday. Despite not usually opening on a Sunday lunchtime, the restaurant agreed to open for us and did not restrict the menu in anyway. We were the only party there for this reason. The chutney tray was extensive with a huge selection to accompany our poppadums. A variety of main courses were ordered and arrived in a short time. All were absolutely lovely. Every dish looked different and appeared fresh and piping hot. The accompaniments were of an equally high standard. The staff were happy to bring out the birthday we had brought and provided us with plates for us to share it. I have had takeways here numerous times and have never been disappointed. The staff are polite, courteous and will often offer a complimentary drink if you have to wait for your order. Its just such a shame it is often empty, although I gather that they are busy with takeaways. Worth a visit for the quirky decor alone!
