“Great Location”

Stayed recently for two nights, very good budget hotel with friendly helpful people. Quiet at night & as others have commented located adjacent to a lake, coastal path & beach nearby,
see http://www.millenniumcoastalpark.com/
Attached pub was very busy during recent hot sunny weather, it has a super setting with outside seating & play areas. Food is typical pub fare & reasonably priced.
We would stay here again.

Had a lovely 2 night stay in this hotel. Was told when we arrived that it was only ten weeks old which was fab! Everything was clean and new. Staff were very friendly. Very comfy beds. Couldn't believe the setting, right next door to a beautiful lake which is unusual for this type of hotel, normally have a motorway to look out onto. Our room looked out onto the car park but there was no noise at all! Restaurant next door was pretty good, reasonable price, food was tasty but did have to wait a fair while for it.
Would fully recommend this hotel and will stay again :)

Booked 2 nights on the web at this hotel on our way to West Wales.
The hotel has only been open 8 weeks and is superb.I even got the best PI Rate of £29 per night
It is located by a lake and the Brewers Fayre Pub that adjoins the hotel has a lovely setting to sit outside. This pub does get very busy even with the locals eating and drinking on a sunny day.
Lets have a few more of these hotels in similar locations.

We stayed over the weekend. As other reviewers have said the setting is good - near the lake and far enough from the major road to be away from significant traffic noise. It's about a 5 minute drive from Llanelli centre & less than 10 minutes from the Trostre retail park. The hotel delivered what we have come to expect from a Premier Inn - good rooms, well maintained and staffed at a budget price.

This is a new Premier Inn, so everything is in excellent condition. The receptionist was friendly and handled our arrival well. The room was clean as was the corridor & reception area, both were also well lit. The room appeared to be a family room, having a couch which reduced the floor space, giving a more crowded feeling than when there's just a chair & side table. General lighting in the room was good - interesting to have ceiling lights which seemed to have vanished from hotels in recent years - though the bedside lights were only adequate & the ledges just big enough for a book. The room window didn't open (perhaps this was due to being on the ground floor), though it did have vents in the frame. There was a heating/ventilalation control, so there may be air-conditioning, but the weather wasn't warm enough to test this. The general system was good enough to clear the steam from the bathroom quickly after using the shower.

The adjacent restaurant (Sandpiper) is a Brewer's Fayre - we prefer the other PI options of TableTable or Beefeater, so this was the only real minus to this hotel.

stayed here 18/19 may 2012, just my husband and I, room was very spacious and clean, staff were friendly, the hotel for a budget hotel is above par. we booked the meal deal which for £22 for breakfast and evening meal is good value. The hotel does not have an in -house restaurant, but uses a brewers fair adjacent to it. what can I say the food was of a good quality for this type of chain, with the evening meal better quality than the breakfast. but overall would definitely recommend

Usual standard of accommodation from a Premier Inn, i.e. more than acceptable. What makes this exceptional is the location, right next to a beautiful lake and park area reclaimed from the former steelworks. We are very used to the normal sort of locations of Premier Inns, that is out of town on a business estate or almost central locations in towns. This feels like a country hotel, what a lovely way to start or finish your day with a stroll around the lake, feeding the birds and enjoying some fresh air. Short drives to some great coastline, the National Botanic Garden of Wales and several National Trust sites. We'll be back!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear as the ones at the front only overlook the car park. Also car park can be...

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. It has only been open since March so all was new. It is a lovely place to stay. very clean and comfy. the staff were all polite and very helpful. the rooms are spacious and well equipped. the only thing that was missing was a shaver point which was a bit odd as most people that stay are travelling business people. we stayed in room 14 on the ground floor and although we were next to the pub (not the public entrance) and we also had the car park right outside our window we were never disturbed with any noise. in fact when the car park filled up and emptied each evening we didn't hear any cars coming and going. The Brewers Fayre next door was also a great place. they do a good varied menu and nightly buffets. which were really good value. we didn't have breakfast but that was our choice so i can't comment on that. the hotel was in a good location for getting out and about. behind was a large water park with lovely walks and views. all in all worth a visit to this hotel. we would certainly stay there again when we are that way.
