If you are looking for the Holiday Inn experience don't come here, but if you are looking for fab views, lovely room sizes and very pleasant hosts, this is the place for you, the photos do not do it justice. Yes, the house has that lovely old patent which comes with age, but give me that any day over A Premiere inn. Lovely 1930's woodwork and features, cast iron baths you could swim in. Just the ticket not to mention a superb breakfast

We only spent one night at Glenmore B&B but will definitely return. Alisdair and Melissa were excellent hosts and their family home is in a stunning setting. We arrived quite late in February to a lovely drawing room with an open fire and a glass of wine.
Our bedroom looked down to the Loch and had large period twin beds which were not only comfortable - the electric blankets made them toasty too! I had the best night's sleep.
Thank you Melissa and Alisdair!

We were two weary, wrinkly girlfriends on a jaunt without our husbands, who stayed one night at each end of our holiday in Scotland.
We were treated like honoured guests in a private house, welcomed with a glass of wine on arrival and invited to sit down and chat in the huge, elegant drawing room, where the wifi was free.
Our twin-bedded room (which can also be made up as a double) (the New Wing Suite) was enormous, with period furniture, fresh flowers and other tasteful touches, and a large characterful bathroom, plus spectacular views across to the loch. We also had the use of a single bedroom and a separate sitting room, but didn't use them.
Alasdair had booked us a table for dinner each night, once at the Shower of Herring and then the Cuilfail Hotel, both of which were excellent – and when we returned we found Melissa had turned down the beds, switched on the electric blankets, and put sweeties on our pillows – such a thoughtful touch!
The beds were so comfortable it was a job to get up in the morning, but the effort was well worth while: the breakfast was superb – probably one of the best I've ever had. Melissa's yoghurt and honey served in a wine glass, and her homemade (and homegrown) stewed fruit topped the bill for me, followed by a full Scottish cooked breakfast (including eggs from her own hens) and a large selection of other goodies.
Melissa and Alasdair put themselves out for their guests – not only had they made dinner reservations for us, they bought a special Stornoway black pudding for us to take home to our husbands. We had had to cancel a previous reservation earlier in the year, due to illness, and Alasdair refunded our deposit in full.
We will definitely stay here again if on our way through.

We spent 3 nights at Glenmore B&B and absolutely loved it, we're a family of 4 with 2 girls (6 and 4 year old). Melissa was so accommodating when we booked, even though we booked late and the B&B was almost full. For the first 2 nights we were in the yellow room and then we were moved into the New Wing Suite for the last night, so we got to experience both rooms! Firstly, the beds are incredibly comfortable - the views are really spectacular, the room sizes are generous and well laid out, and the antique furniture throughout gives the whole house a lovely, homely feel to it. Melissa and Alasdair could not have been more charming and helpful - and the breakfasts alone are worth waking up for! We were given tips of where to visit, and they were all spot on - Alasdair, we did visit the falls at Killin on the way to our next destination, and it was stunning! Thank you from all for of us, and the girls can't stop talking about it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Glenmore B and B. From the moment you approach this grand, stately home, you know that you will have a special experience. Alisdair and Melissa are warm, gracious and attentive hosts. We stayed in the New Wing suite. The suite itself has a very large bedroom overlooking the beautiful Scottish countryside. There is also a large ensuite bathroom and small sitting room. All of the rooms are very clean and well-appointed. There is an electric kettle in both the bedroom and sitting room with a large selection of teas and coffee. A nice touch is the electric blanket on the bed for cold nights! Breakfast is served in the lovely drawing room, overlooking the beautiful countryside. Alisdair and Melissa made a real effort to ensure that all of our needs were met. We felt warmly welcomed right from the start. The Glenmore is a classic country estate which has retained its historical charms and yet offers all of the contemporary comforts. This may be an old manor but the atmosphere is very easygoing. If you want to experience the unique charms of the Scottish countryside, this is the place to be. Highly recommended.
