We all had a lovely time the meal was extremely nice even although the portion sizes are very small especially for the men.

They could maybe up date their drinks list as there were no cocktails or shots available which was disappointing.

Saying this it wouldn't stop us revisiting and hopefully we will do soon.

Lovely room, friendly helpful staff. Good food in the cellar restaurant though portion size a bit on the small size. Weren't really any 'walks' around the castle (I didn't venture into the woods). Didn't see the ghost!

We fancied staying somewhere a little different and this certainly ticked that box.
The room was wonderful and the grounds beautiful even in winter.
The restaurant service was a little disappointing although the food itself was good.
There were a lot of young staff on duty and perhaps a little improvement to their training might be in order.
Would definitely stay again.

Stayed for one night on a Living Social deal and couldn't complain. Check in smooth with pleasant and efficient staff. Room was gorgeous (although we upgraded to a suite) was well worth the extra. Opened right onto the lawns and water fountain. Afternoon tea was ok, however not all that fresh with limp/uninteresting sandwiches. Dinner was ok, best bit was the desert. Delicious. Big thumbs up to bar member who made me the most gorgeous pims! Breakfast was really good. Excellent selection of hot and cold items. All in all a lovely place but with a little more attention to detail could be fantastic. Would def return.

Room Tip: Suite number 11! Gorgeous.
