“Fabulous Location, People & Accomodation!”

My brother and new sister in law had their wedding reception here last week and I have to say it was just stunning and perfect!

The staff were attentive but not overly and the food was fantastic.

The bedroom we had was small but perfectly appointed, shame it was a twin room and not a double but the wedding party was large and we had EVERY room going!!

The breakfast was a short walk across the courtyard and was lovely!

Perfect day.

Perfect Night!

My Son & Daughter in law held their wedding at this venue and i have to say they made a great choice. The facilities are second to none, staff were tremendous and the food (Breakfast) was first rate full English. Wedding food was provided by outside caterers so i am not rating it as part of this review. The setting itself is to die for with magnificent views of the lake and Cheshire countryside. The guest rooms are a little on the compact side but perfectly adequate for a short stay, as i imagine most people staying here are probably wedding guests. All in all a great venue and hotel. Loved it!

Room Tip: Don't think there is much to choose between them. All seemed good - no complaints from anyone.

We stayed for one night to attend a wedding.
Fantastic wedding venue. Everything in one place.
Lovely location and very friendly staff.
Drinks at the venue are reasonably priced.

The rooms are not hugh but are clean and well equiped and comfortably.
Bathroons were clean and tidy.
Breakfast was good.

This is a lovely venue - we were there as B & B guests - but it mostly caters for weddings. The rooms are in a courtyard and nicely done out. Room size good and there is a kitchen facility if needed. Breakfast is served in main house which is approached from rooms in courtyard so if wet then you need brolly same if cold a warm jacket. Unfortunately we seemed to be the only guests except for a lone man. We were asked on arrival when we would like breakfast - and when the food arrived it seemed to have been prepared in advance as bacon hard and egg getting ready to set. However overall a goodish experience.

Room Tip: Pick one nearest the farmhouse in case of bad weather!

We attended as guests to a very special wedding. The rooms (even though they are limited in number and are generally allocated by the organisers) are superb, the barn, buildings and surrounding countryside is a dream venue for any celebration and it is a shame we don't know more prople who are about to use this place for their special moment so we can go back again and again and again. This is no ordinary place for a celebration, if Marks and Spencer did celebration venues this would be one they would love to own or at least use as a model.

We recently attended a wedding at the "Barns", which was a lovely venue, well executed, and with a great staff. Our stay in one of the "farmhouse rooms" was very convenient and accomodating -- the room was small, but well equipped with very comfortable beds, coffee & tea making equipment, and a small bathroom with the best shower I had in a week of travelling in the UK. Breakfast in the morning was great, with an assortment of juces, cereals, fruits, etc. as well as a buffet of hot breakfast items. The views from the dining room are stunning! The staff were very helpful with directions and area suggestions. We would love to go back!

I stayed at the Sandhole Farm for my cousins wedding on the 26th August 2012 and it was lovely. I stayed in room 33 in the house and it was a lovely genourous sized room with ensuite. The only thing I would say is the shower in the ensuite is not up to much but you cannot have everything. The owners were great even providing a nice bottle of wine for the room (no bar facilities on site unless you are attending a function in the barn). The site is to die for with a nice lake and decking area to the barn which was brilliant for milling out onto at the evening party! Definately would stay here again. Great value for money.
