Stayed here last minute for a wedding reception round the corner and I honestly have no complaints about the place. The room was spotless and well equipped. The breakfast (incl in price) was yummy! (and filling!) and the staff were pleasant and helpful. would recommend to friends (especially for the room rates!).More

Having heard the Advert on Local Radio and recently a friend had given it high praise, we decided to have a look.
Problem!! we thought we had heard it was at Eaton and that was all we knew so we shot off on the Macclesfield road to Congleton and arrived at Eaton but NO Wagon and Horses!!
Quick Google search established it was on the Manchester Road going out of Congleton (But still in Eaton) !!
So off we went and soon found it. (Good old Google) Very Large Car Parks so no Problem there.
Entered the pub and was greeted by a Smiling, Happy Lady.
We established that food was being served and found a Table, selected our food and then enjoyed the servings.
The Pub was quite ( we arrived early evening) and the dining area did lack a bit of atmosphere but I guess when a few more people are around that would be different.
We only visited for a Meal so we cannot comment on the B & B facilities
So overall the Food was excellent, The Beer was Good and the welcome was great so worth a look.
I've stayed here a few times now. Warm welcome, excellent food, spotlessly clean accommodation, what more could you ask for?? Oh, and one of the customers fixed a problem on my laptop and wouldn't even accept a drink as thanks.

I used to work away a lot so i know what its like being away from home ,warm welcomes and clean acommodation is top of our list and when our guest are so nice it makes our job a plleasure to do.
If we can help with anything to make our guests better we will always try to sort it for them ,if we cant quite fix it we usually know a man that can .

We stayed here last weekend as we were attending a wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn and it turned out to be a great B and B. Very convenient for the wedding venue ( just a few minutes walk away) and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was ready early to allow us to change which was much appreciated. The room was nice,beds were comfy and tea/coffee/biscuits etc were provided.
Best of all however was the lovely, cooked to order breakfast the next morning. There was a small selection of cereals and then a choice which included a full English ...definitely go for it !! Everything was full of flavour and perfectly cooked ,including the excellent home made sausages.
I will look forward to trying the restaurant for a full meal sometime as the menu looked fab.

Managed to get two rooms here after phoning up on our way down from doing a job in Edinburgh. When we arrived they lovely lady in charge got us to our rooms quickly to drop our bags off then back into the bar area where we sat by the open fire and had a superb meal, price is spot on, rooms were great. Breakfast was really good, we would certainly stop here again.

Dropped in for lunch and a pint. It's a halfway house for me and an old pal to catch up. The food is consistently good as is the friendly welcome from Carol and staff. As far as gastro pubs are concerned this is about as good as it gets. Well done for maintaining those high values!
