We came here for one night last week after giving up trying to find somewhere to stay in Whitby, we took a detour to get home to Nottingham then stumbled upon The Lodge, it's a beautiful looking building & as we had a dog with us we thought ' No Chance ' but my hubby was greated to a warm welcome, a room was available & it was dog friendly, the hotel is a beautiful traditional design just what we like & our room very pretty & spacious with 2 double beds & a wardrobe, dressing table & complementary drinks tray that had lovely biscuits, we had a couple of night caps in the bar & was served nice cold Rose & my husband had a coffee which was really nice quality coffe with homemade biscuits, the night staff member who dealt with us from checking in to serving in the bar was really nice & gave us some history of the building which we enjoyed. The beds were comfy & we had a great sleep. The breakfast staff were warm & friendly & there was a great selection of hot & cold food, the sausages were great quality. Checkout was quick & hassle free. We were so lucky to find this place, we would definatley come back & have recommended you to other people. Loved all the lovely traditional touches this place has. We love individual places with character & this ticked all the boxes.
