The car park is relatively expansive and well made. However, as a Scot, I do not believe in charging for natural phenomena. I was disappointed that the walk was so short but the falls themselves are spectacular. Unfortunately, it's the same walk on the way back.
At this time of year, both the car park and the waterfall are payable on a "trust" basis. At least they were on the day we went.

Loved the walk. The views on the way back were really lovely. The walk was around 2 hours but not too hard as the climb was slow. Will visit again with a picnic in the summer.

Amazing feature of nature. Awe inspiring and humbling. However, despite their websites claim it is NOT free in the off season. They’ll charge you£3 to park your car, and £1.50 a person just to walk down to the waterfall itself! Which when we’d just made the drive down to what we’d been told was a free attraction without a wallet and had to drive 20 miles back to the cottage disappointed.

When we complained the staff were rude.
