This is fairly impressive site, although for the highest falls in England not as high as you may thought it would be! However, you are charged £1.50 to walk to the falls and £3 to park! This certainly takes the pleasure away for me! However, it is best visited by walking along the Pennine Way from Low Force. If you stay on the far side or the river you can view the falls for free, however, if you cross the bridge you are forced up on to the road for 50 yards where you have to pay your £1.50! Much prefer the experience at Low Force.

We drove here from Newcastle Upon Tyne. It was a longer ride than we thought but the scenery is very beautiful on the road so worth the time. The waterfall is nicely hidden and fun to see.

We have visited high force a number of times over the years. We normally park at the Bowlees visitors centre and then walk over the other side of the river. It's a great place to visit!

£9.36 per second for over staying in an empty car park which enters you into a disadvantaged parking contract, where a ticket machine has been installed which doesn’t accept notes, in an area which has no phone signal to pay the required fee is a total rip off!!!
No intention of paying and looking forward to a day in court where we will be applying the same tariff @ £9.36 per second loss of earnings.
Recommend choosing an alternative day out and avoiding an attraction which has no regard for its much needed visitors!!

We drove to the car park 1 hour and £1 would have been much better than being forced to pay £3 for 3 hours. We had traveled over 100 miles to get there.
A gentle stroll down the track to the waterfall and the first glimps off the track was the best.
Once down near the falls you’ve seen it after 10 mins.
Because I didn’t walk the walk from lower force falls it didn’t have the impact it should have.
I know I will never revisit
