Been meaning to visit high force Waterfall for awhile now. Most people recommended to go at this time of year due to the right amount of rainfall.
It didn’t disappoint. Amazing views and easy to get to. Can take your dog too.
Looking forward to going back.

If you are in the area this is a must it is quite a spectacular waterfall and the opportunity of taking in a number of walks. It will cost you £3 to park but this will be taken of your bill at the High Force Hotel if you spend £10 or more in their bar.

We parked near Forest in Teesdale and walked part of the Pennine Way through Cronkley. All free. The scenery is lovely and High Force impressive. Perhaps not so impressive but we found Bleabeck force very pretty.

We came here to visit High Force after reading how it was a lovely trip to make on a sunny day. We parked at the High Force Hotel for £3 for 3 hours then got this money taken off our lunch bill at the hotel. We bought tickets £4 for 2 adults and 2 kids, the children had a wonderful time exploring & climbing the large rocks lining the river Tees. The walk through the forest was about a 10 minute walk to the majesty of the waterfalls very short compared to what we're normally used to. We then returned for a lovely lunch at the hotel. It is definitely well worth the trip to feel closer to nature.

A quick look at the map shows a much better route to the falls and avoids the Hotel’s private and charged-for access.

A beautiful walk beside and then over the river and then up to the falls. You get to see them from several vantage points and end up looking down on the Hotel’s access route which seems to stop abruptly a bit before the bottom of the falls however this is probably your best option if you find walking on rough ground difficult.
