The location is very good, only a couple of houses from the beach. Good parking space and a very friendly welcome.
This is rfeally a family run place and you can feel that in every respect - that meant positively.
Nice food, served by attentive staff - all very informal and friendly.
Rooms are very well appointed - all different. I had room 6 which was a twin, my freinds were in rooms 2, 5 and 7 which were all doubles - and all in different colours, but we all had a good nights sleep in nice beeds with good linen.
Wholesome English breakfast in the morning. If we come back to Seaton, we will definitely stay again, but perhaps we will rather try out one of the nearby towns of Beer or Branscombe.

We popped in here quite by chance looking for something to eat after not wanting to queue for half an hour at Frydays. My husband, myself our 3 children & our westie were warmly welcomed for a very nice, plentiful dinner. All of our meals were beautifully cooked, the puddings were really yummy and we wouldn't hesitate to stop here again. We did feel it was a bit pricey but with no idea of prices in the area we didn't complain because the service was amazing, staff wonderfully friendly & couldn't help enough to ensure we had everything we required we may look to returning sometime soon!

The Eyre Hotel was tidy and the room was airy and clean. The food however could have been a lot better. There was a lack of choice for breakfast and when we received it, it was quite greasy. The staff were very friendly and light-hearted. Sitting outside was so noisy due to the gulls, which of course is no fault of the hotel, but of the council.
Seaton town itself is in need of an urgent facelift. It is dirty, lots of discarded fish and chip cartons lying around, bins full to the brim. A lot of the trouble is down to the gulls who we saw actually attacking people to get at their fish and chips.
I visited Seaton a few years ago and it was fine, but as I turned the corner coming down the Beer road this year, I was shocked to find a gigantic Tesco store in the car park where the famous and colourful tramcars are. This is an eyesore and it dwarfs the trams that now cannot be seen until you are close to them
This will be my last visit to Seaton and the Eyre Court Hotel. I don't recommended the town unless you are not fussy.

Room Tip: Take your pick of the rooms. I had a room overlooking the car-park and it was fine. It is the amount...

This stay in Seaton was arranged by our walking holiday company, Contours Holidays. We must admit that having walked from Exmouth to Lyme Regis, this town was our least favourite place.
However, the hotel itself was fine. The accommodation is not luxurious but it is clean and comfortable and best of all it is friendly. The seagulls are a bit noisy though!
We decided to eat at the pub for our night in Seaton (there is very little to choose from in Seaton) and we had a very nice time. The food was generally pretty good which we followed by a great night of darts.
It's a shame that the bar wasn't busier but the whole town seemed very quiet, even on a hot Saturday night.
Won't be rushing back to Seaton but if we ever need to go again would be happy to stay at this hotel.

With 4 of us having the steak with pepper sauce, another having the chicken and one more woth the gammon there was a good selection. With the steaks all cooked to perfection, a lovely pepper sauce that hinted rather then overpowering, accompanied by chips, fresh tomatoes, onion rings and mushrooms, four plates were emptied rapidly. The only reason anything was left on the other two plates was due to smaller tummies. The six of us wouldn't hesitate in recommending Eyre Court for high quality good quantity food at realistic prices, plus the waitress offering high quality service whilst keeping an eye open for any query from the diners.

We, the wife and I (both in our 70s) stayed here last week for two nights. The room was clean. light and airy, and there is no noise, other than Seagulls squawking, at night. The included breakfast was very good, and the meals which we took, large and tasty. I have nothing but appreciation for the service given by the very friendly family who own and run the hotel.
Seaton is a bit of a backwater, but to us, that makes it very attractive, and it also provided a base to look at Sidmouth (the Connaught Gardens must not be missed), and Exeter (which I last visited as a student some 50+ years ago). The Cathedral was stimulating (why is it we always look around churches when abroad but take them for granted when at home?), the rejuvenated Quay most attractive, and the integrated (old and new) town centre a model for others.

Room Tip: Meals Monday to Wednesday are served 6 to 8 pm so don't be late.

We were recommended to eat here by our B&B owner. We thought the décor a bit dated and tired, the staff were very helpful and the waitress came promptly and took our order. I went for Ham egg and chips and my wife for Paella. Mine was ok with plenty of ham. My wife's Paella looked like no Paella I have ever seen a sort of tomato and rice 'Gloop' which nevertheless was apparently tasty. Presentation definitely lacking.
