This is a popular track so you see quite a few people - not crowded but not isolated. You can decide how far you want to walk and get water taxis back to where you are staying. the beaches are fantastic. You can walk as little or as far as you want so great for all levels of fitness.

Wonderful experience stunning views beaches beatifull !! Water very clear & lots of stingrays . Really good boat service as well .. trek is hard don’t be fooled by people saying it’s needs modest fitness in the heat it’s fairly taxing ...

We took a boat ride in a water taxi up to Anchorage and then hiked back. It was a full day as we visited many of the beaches along the trail. We wished we had planned our trip to be able to camp on the trail and stay for a few days. We had our grand daughter in a baby backpack and she loved it. We were delighted that we saw other families with young children too. We are definitely planning another trip so we can stay a few days, camp and take all the side paths to see more of the park. The beaches were so beautiful and we stopped to swim at as many as we could. I recommend an early start to the day so that you are not hiking in the heat. Or plan lots of stops in the shade and take your time. The last bit of our hike was so hot that we were pretty done by the last hour. Be sure to have lots of water if it is hot.

We got the awautaxi up to the top of the trail and walked over three days stopping at the lodge the 1st night and aquapackers the 2nd night. Both of which were great. The walks are really well signposted. From Bark Bay to Anchorage there is a long ascent at the beginning but you can take your time and shelter in the trees. Views spectacular

The track is easy to follow and very well trodden - you can't go wrong! The aquataxi services do drop-offs and collections all the way along the beach (book in advance) so you have the option of walking a few kilometres between beaches or just having a relaxing 'beach day' and not going anywhere! It's a bit steep in places but people do it with babies in buggies so if you are averagely fit you'll be fine :) It's unmissable, it really is!
