Having read the recent reviews I am absolutely stunned....I stayed for two nights with 5 friends on a motor biking holiday and found Alberto and his wife wonderful.
On booking in, he noticed the red bandana still around my neck and asked if I had been to the running of the bulls in Pamplona and was suitably impressed to see the photos of me actually doing it!
He spent a lot of time telling us the history of the hotel and how it was almost destroyed by Franco's supporters in the thirties because his grandparents were Republicans, so I can only assume that if you don't engage with him then he will not with you!
As for the breakfast, it was the best and most plentiful that we had encountered throughout a 2 week tour of France, Andorra and Spain...so again a big thumbs up!
Finally he even kept us updated on the World Cup scores and gave alternative bike routes through the Picos.
A great stay and am contemplating going back in September with my Fiancée.
