We stayed 2 nights at this b&b. the host Hsinyi and Gariel were nice and helpful. The location is not as near as we expected plus you need time to wait for the bus which only comes at certain time, so if you stay there make sure you leave enough travel time. The day when we left the b&b there was problem with the tram, luckily we left much earlier so we didn't miss our train to our next stop. The rooms are simply furnished but enough for travellers like us. The only bad thing is the rooms have smells and bath room was not that clean. One thing we really like is the restaurant Hsinyi recommended, the food was great, price was reasonable, and service is great as well. It's the best restaurant we had in our trip.

Thanks for the review and let us knowing about this problem.
We are sorry about the smell in the rooms . It never happened before and sure that will never happen again. We checked out the rooms and actually they are perfect. Probably, it was something not strictly dependin on us and our house: in fact, we have more that 250reviews on internet taken in 1 year only, where you can read cleanliness is our first goal (nobody spoke about this problem before).
Regardin the trasportation: yes, Venice is clearly divided in 2 areas, the island ( the historical center) and the mainland ( Mestre and airport area, where we are). Going to the island from the mainland always takes the guests from 20 to 35 minutes. We personally think this is a very small price to pay to stay in the mainland ( which has obviously also some advantages, the first, it is cheaper). Sleeping in the mainland is all the year, in any case, absolutely, much more cheaper than staying in the island ( at least 50/60% ) .

We stayed 3 nights in B&B Casa d'Oro, and it was a wonderful experience in Venice!!! The B&B is located in a quiet and save place where have good connection to the train station and old town by trams and buses. There are some restaurants and supermarket nearby (5 mins walk).
The room is quite big and clean(daily clean service). You can also use the kitchen, too!!
Moreover, the hosts are so nice who provide us many information and suggestion while we traveled around Venice. Highly recommend to stay in B&B Casa d'Oro!!!!!!

We stayed at this B&B during our European tour for three nights. The best thing about has to be the location, when visiting Venice it is absolutely perfect. At around 20 minutes from one of the busiest places on earth it was so nice to come back and return to the calming, safe environment that was awaiting us at the B&B. You can get to the B&B using the bus system from the main station, however be really specific on which tickets you buy from the station, it can get quite confusing!

The village it is situated in is really handy, with a lovely bakery, grocers, supermarkets and a reasonable, delicious Italian restaurant (as mentioned by past reviewers - thanks for the hint) called Pierro's. Our hosts were great and Gabriel gave us plenty of information about Venice and the surrounding areas. The B&B was really large, including our room which was massive, with blackout shutters and one of the most excellent air conditioning systems, which is really needed in Venice in August! We shared a bathroom which was clean and of a reasonable size. It was also great to have the access to the kitchen to make food, drinks and to store items. The breakfast selection wasn't the best, but with all the amenities it wasn't too much of a problem. We were also very impressed with the extras including the fridge in our room and the WiFi access.

All in all, it was an excellent stay apart from the breakfast, but I have to say this wasn't a problem as the B&B is such a reasonable price compared to anything else in Venice. Also if you want to enjoy Venice in the day and then relax and sleep in the evenings it's paradise. Thanks for our stay, I will be recommending this accommodation to anyone who will listen!

My friend and I traveled in Germany and Italy for 18 days. And this is the first place make me feel at home. Hsinyi and Gabriel are sweet and friendly. They gave us many useful imformation and nice recommendations. The room is comfortable and you can eat the breakfast as much as you can. You can cook here as well, there is a kitchen free to use. The traffic is simple and convenient around here. There are 2 cheap supermarkets near by and a shopping mall which has Carrefour is just 10 minutes away by bus. The bus to center of Venice takes 20 minutes and the last one is until midnight. The whole environment is quiet and safe. I like this place very much. I definitely recommend B&B Casa d'Oro to my friends and come back again.

Room Tip: all the rooms are nice ;)
