I've been to this hotel many times dining and swimming and once i stayed at the yatch which is pleasing in everyways. Spa and restaurants are great but the old hotel part is from a different dimension.. We had a double room and we were supposed to relax in the hotel for one night but some weird things happening in the hotel area took our relaxation away. At 12pm when we went to bed some strange noises apperead, for example banging from the bathroom etc. Our tv got switched on all the time and more disturbing voices apperead. Also someone was moving around the hallway all night (shadows from the door gap and voices heard). We had to move ourselves to the hotel lobby at 5am to get any sleep and at 8am we were sent back to our room and an hour later we left the hotel due to craziness still going on in the hotel room. We have no idea what happened here and why, but we only know it was our last night staying at this hotel.

Room Tip: Take a room from the yatch or you'll regret

Easy to find and good parking places. The lobby area is really tastefully decorated, the reception staff is polite and fast. We spend a weekend with 3 generations, my parents, my family and my sisters family. There was something to do for everyone. The children and also the adults loved the spa, smaller children liked it really much and the bigger ones would have liked there to be some slides or jumping places but generally everyone was happy. My sisters family also visited the near by Muumimaailma which was easily reachable from the spa by small train. Our children played minigolf and our teenager loved the possibility to go the gym as often as he wanted.

We had our rooms in the boat attached to the spa. The rooms were really nice and big enough for even 4 of us. My parents room and my sisters family room were really great but in our room it smelled quite bad, just like someone had made a practical joke and but an old dirty sock or a dead rat to the incoming air condition pipe. That smell was the only negative thing about our stay. We told about the smell to the room cleaners but I don't know if they did anything about it.

The breakfast buffet was awesome, a lot of options and everything was so tasty. Also we ate 2 times in the dinner buffet and they were really really nice also. Especially the starters were so good that we had trouble fitting the main course to our stomach. And the deserts... Excellent!

Generally I would say that not the cheapest option to spend a weekend with family but most definitely worth the money spend!

Room Tip: Don't take the smelly one ;)

Family of four in a refurbished (2012) deluxe rm (32 m2). Six years since previous visit, used to be a regular but stopped because of a bad stay with near heat exhaustion. Decided to give it a new chance......AC now in refurb'd rooms

Specifically requested a quiet room upon reservation. On arrival, assigned a 2nd floor room above the lobby bar. The minibar was room temperature (broken?). The advertised aircon had been switched off (not individually controlled). The room was too warm and windows had to be opened. Paid particularly for this room because of the AC due to bad experiences on earlier visit!

Stayed nonetheless, as the room was nicely located in view of the spa. BIG mistake. At 10 pm, the 'bard' started in the lobby bar. The noise in the room kept the adults from sleeping until 00.30. Made a complaint at the front desk around 11 pm and agreed on a room change in the morning (the kids already asleep despite the noise). After a couple of hours' sleep, a conference of occupational doctors started its own show outside the main lobby entrance, without any intervention from the staff. That was more or less that night's sleep for the adults: the room still too warm, the windows had to stay open.

Room change the next day, a new room as far away from the main lobby as possible. Minibar now working, still no AC and windows open to get fresh air in (otherwise temp. above 25 C).

Food: first night TK restaurant: ok, but no wish to return, the same stuff you would get at a Finnish service station, only more expensive. Second night: room service, very bad fries, generally too much salt, again no wish to reorder.

Breakfast: better than on previous visits, a big plus.

On checkout, 20% off due to room problems. Ok, might consider returning. However, even in Finland, rooms do get hot and stuffy even in the fall and individually controllable AC should be available. Now the advertised AC had been turned off. Tip: combine heating and AC and give the customer a chance to choose the temperature. Now it seems the old heating system had been preserved, which means the AC has to be turned off during heating season. Trying to save on AC/heating in a refurb in a country with unforeseeable weather is a definite risk.

Room Tip: Demand a room away from the lobby area.

Thank you for your recent stay at Naantali Spa Hotel and for taking the time to share your review here on TripAdvisor.

I´m very sorry to hear that your experience fell short of your expectations. Unfortunately we don´t have individually controlled air condition in the main building, but we have it on Yacht Hotel and also in the Spa Residence -building.

We hope that we will have the opportunity to provide you with a flawless experience in the future and you´ll come visit us again.

Being here twice I see that is a nice place to stay, specially in high season as later Naantali is deserted.
The hotel is huge and the rooms also big but overall outdated. Specially the bathrooms as we paid for a "luxury" room but having no tub. I don't remember if it's the same in the yacht as we were this first time one year ago.
The pools are great.
I remember acceptable quality from the thai restaurant.
Prices also balanced as I think they know they are not now in the best conditions.
I've been at ghe
