Stayed here at Eurocamp for a week in August 2013 with partner, 4 children and 2 grandparents. I throughly enjoyed it, no problems with any of the facilities and found the cashless payments very convenient (you even get a printout afterwards showing exactly what was spent). Restaurant was very nice, both bars good, swimming pools great, kids club well run. The camp is very close to 2 supermarkets and the town of St Valery is also very close. The nice sandy beach resorts of Quend and Fort Mahon are a 20 minute drive away which is far enough (the closer beaches are all pebbles unfortunately)

If I had one criticism it was that the food in the takeaway took ages so dont be in a rush when you order that.

We enjoyed it so much we're going again next year.

We stayed here early August. There were 2 families of 2 adults and 2 children in one grand caravan. It was sufficient but I have stayed in larger caravans.

There is a tennis court, football pitch, 2 x swimming pools, table tennis tables. There is also crazy golf which looked great but was impossible to play. There was pony rides for the kids but you are left to walk them about yourself and the one we were given was far too big for a 3 year old and the safety helmet was too large, the pony was also very stubborn.

You are in a great location to visit places like st valery and abbeville and we drove to paris which took about 90 min so not too far.

Take a ride in the steam train only about 1 hour each way but fun.

The takeaway in the park was very slow at serving and took about 40min from ordering pizza to walking out with it and was not the best pizza either.

The bar closed at 10pm and this was peak time so that was quite poor as we only wanted a beer or two after trip to Paris.

The credit card system worked fine but we tended to buy from the supermarket as better choice and cheaper!

2 supermarkets close by but the supermarchet makes you open your bags......so just a wee heads up.

I would say go for it you won't be disappointed for the price!

After reading some worrying reviews about Chateau de Drancourt, we weren't quite sure what to expect, but I am pleased to say that our weeks stay in their Bali mobile home was great.

The kids loved the swimming pools, pony rides, tennis court, mini golf and play area. The mini golf could definitely be improved.

The receptionists were ok. They didn't have a good knowledge of the activities onsite which was frustrating.

The WiFi in the Café was very bad, range was short and often you couldn't access the internet through it. Try not to rely on the onsite WiFi.

We only attended a few of the onsite activities as we spent a lot time visiting local areas ie going on the steam train from St Valery to Les Crotoy, visiting Paris and Amien for the day. The activities that we did attend were fun and the staff were really nice and friendly and made us laugh lots.

The inside pool was lovely, but the outside pool was cold, although we soon adjusted to the temperature after going down the slide a few times.

The mobile home was also fine. It had everything that a family of 5 needed. There were a couple of light bulbs that didn't work, otherwise, it was clean and tidy. There was a mix up with bedding. I e-mailed to ask if I needed to take duvet covers as well as sheets, and I had a reply with a full inventory of what bedding was included and duvets were listed. When we went to make the beds up, there were only blankets. We asked reception where the duvets were, and we were told that only blankets are available. We made do with what we had taken, but a couple of extra sheets would have been handy.

The onsite shop had limited stock, but that was probably because there were 2 local supermarkets near by. We were able to order fresh croissants and baguettes for the following morning. The shop wasn't open until 8.30am, a bit late for us.

The onsite 'Take Away' took ages as the chef took one order at a time, cooked it, then went onto the next costumer. Our 2 x burger and 1 x chips took 30mins to order, then 15-20mins to cook. Going to the local McDonalds would have been quicker! We avoided this and the restaurant for the rest of the week.

There is a payment card system which you have to use when you purchase from the shop, café, 'take out' or restaurant. We didn't find it a problem at all. You get your payment card when you check in, top it up at reception when needed and then when you check out, you are refunded whatever the amount is remaining.

We really liked the town of St Valery. We visited the Sunday market, played crazy golf (much better than onsite), watched the boats go by, and if you walk right to the end of the path (away from the town) there is a brilliant playground. Its built like a fortress, and a mini fortress for toddlers. We got the steam train to Le Crotoy and enjoyed a delicious meal at the La Toscane. Also, there were lots of public loo's which were very handy as we were potty our 3yr old.

Overall, a really nice holiday location to visit if you have a young family.

I've just returned from 7 nights with eurocamp in one of their standard tents. It had everything I required- well stocked kitchen facilities, airer, proper beds, large pitch. My son Oscar went to the fun station and the staff- Alicia, Tom and Phoebe were great. The site itself was great- clean facilities, the card payment system is simple and it works! I really can't understand why anyone has an issue with it. You get any unused money back in cash at the end of your stay. The chateau staff were friendly and helpful, we are booking to go back next year as it's great for the kids. The restaurant was really nice, and competitively priced. The wifi works in the bar. All in all I have no complaints, it's a really good set up and as a campsite it's great. If you go expecting an electric kettle and toaster (as I heard one customer complaining about) then book somewhere else. The pools were as warm as you'd expect for unheated pools in northern France.

Was a nice site and most of the staff were very polite however a major problem is the fact we had a really bad sewage smell and also it was overflowing and running behind two of our parties caravan and was only notice because we said

Stayed here 18th and 23th August 2013 in a motor home, on the way to and back from Camping L'Anse du Brick nr Cherbourg. The facilities at Chateau de Drancourt were OK but we did not use the shop or bar because of the ridiculous pre-payment card system for buying drinks and food. Luckily there is a Lidl and Carrefour very near so you can stock up here and spend euros. The motor Home service area was very dirty and smelly as you also were expected to empty your chemical toilet here, the same hosepipe was used to was used to rinse your chemical toilet, needless to say I did not fill my water tank here I don’t Know if we picked a bad week but there was lots of flies and they got everywhere I don’t know if there was a farm or something near but there was certainly plenty of them to go around My opinion is that the place needs modernising especially the showers and toilet blocks as they are looking a little tiered, in saying that I have seen worse. Would I come back? Probably not. Maybe of OK if you are passing through, but not a place to have a holiday.

We enjoyed our keycamp holiday at Drancourt. It was quiet but that suited us. We found the pools warm enough. Would have liked more information about what was happening on the site as feel we may have missed out on entertainment. I agree with comments about the family friendliness of the area around the caravans, feel the greenery could have been given more attention. Compliments to the reception staff. Could badminton nets have been put up around the site? We have liked to play at other French sites.
