“One night only”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

We have stayed on this campsite many times, this time we stayed one night in a tent. The couriers for Eurocamp were very helpful on arrival, but we couldn't find them again after finding a deep hole in the ground under the groundsheet. This was very dangerous as we kept falling into it. As we were only staying the one night we gave up the search for the couriers in the pouring rain. The tents have been moved to another part of the park this year and are too far away from the sanitary blocks with cold showers. The emplacements were not ready for the tents to be placed on them, the ground was uneven hence the great big hole in the middle of the floor and there was no grass as it looked like mobile homes had been on these emplacements previously. This is probably due to the campsite decisions and nothing to do with the tour operators Eurocamp and Canvas. There is no table inside the tent unlike Canvas Holidays. So as it was raining we had to put the outside furniture inside, put it out again when the rain stopped and put it back in when it started raining again etc etc. This is most inconvenient all to save money by not providing a table even though it is on the inventory list. Canvas tents are much better laid out than the Eurocamp ones. On saying this we will probably stay on this park again but ask for a tent nearer to the sanitary block

Room Tip: Check out the floor in the tent before you move in!!

Great week in a Eurocamp Safari tent on this site. The Eurocamp couriers were extremely helpful and friendly.

The site is great and family friendly, there's enough to do if you don't want to leave for a day but near enough to Saint Valery and the supermarkets so can go for a meal or stock up. The shop on site isn't outrageously priced if you forget something.

The shower and toilet facilities on site were cleaned at least twice a day. The showers were very powerful, they will definitely wake you up on a morning!

The only small issue is there is no way to load the site 'credit card' after the reception closes at 6 which is silly as the shop/bar/restaurant are still all open at that time so you need to decide how much you will need for the evening in advance.

Other than that we had a very enjoyable stay!

We booked Safari Tent option through Eurocamp in the campsite for a family holiday in May. As our part of our party included our 7 month old daughter i was a little intrepid to say the least.

There was no need as we found the accommodation, site and in particular the Eurocamp Couriers to be nothing less than brilliant. If you don't like the outdoors and what this entails then this isn't for you, if you do i would go back again without a doubt!

After reading the reviews on this campsite i was a little worried to say the least. Well all i can say is from the start to finish we had a fantastic time at Domaine de Drancourt. The caravan we stayed in was spotless, it was also their first day of the season and i was relieved there was no damp or those musky smells you usually get when caming. The Canvas staff were very helpful showing us how everything works etc and were very helpful.
We played tennis ever morning, you just have to put a time down and the court is yours. The pool water is cold but didn't bother my kids too much. The area around the pool was clean and tidy, and well maintained. We also did the pony rides a bargain at £5 for half an hour! Theres a new cafe which does a nice breakfast, we found all the staff friendly and helpful. There is also a shop open for a few hours a day, good for bread, milk and ice-creams but with two big supermarkets a couple of minutes drive down the road we didn't use it much. We have been to this area before St Valery is a must if you are visiting also Amiens and Le Crotoy. all i can say is we had a fab time and will be going back !

We enjoyed a really nice holiday over Easter in a Canvas mobile home. The site was very quiet and the 'heated' swimming pool was anything but warm which was a big disappointment. Canvas mobile homes are great value and very well equipped, the gated deck was a real plus with young children. The site was well kept and the bar with a play area attached was really nice to have. The site made a real effort for Easter and the Easter Egg Hunt was a great success.
This site is set in a real hidden treasure of France, St Valery sur Somme is so beautiful and the beach, playground and beach bar a real plus. All this and only 1hr 20mins from the tunnel.

Our 5th year here with van & now mobile home. The area is outstanding: St Valery, Le Crotoy & beaches at Fort Mahon. The cycling is superb: safe cycle paths & quiet roads to coast & to get lost in lovely French countryside.

we have just returned from an excellent stay with Keycamp in a mobile home at Castel Domaine de Drancourt. The Mobile home was excellent, clean and well equipped. The actual site is amazing set in woodland and is a great place for families as the facilities there are good
