“The best family holiday”
Reviewed 15 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at north farm. Normally we find it quite stressful packing up to go away with a baby plus toddler, but the cottage was so well equipped and the owners were super helpful about what we would need for a comfortable stay. It was spotlessly clean, and the list is endless about what made the place so great but I especially appreciated having a washing machine and tumble dryer, really comfortable beds, and lots of toys for the children to play with.
Upon our arrival we found some delicious treats left for us (homemade cake, bread rolls, bacon, eggs...) The owners were v welcoming and went out of their way to make the holiday special for our toddler (he loved feeding the chickens) and said he when we got home that he wanted to go back.
The location is excellent, there are lots of child friendly things to do in the area whatever the weather. There are also lots of places to eat out locally that are child friendly, the owners have helpfully left a list in the cottage.

“Just wonderful”
Reviewed 24 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We've just returned from a wonderful break in Kingfisher Barn.
The photos on line do not fully capture how lovely this place is.
Anyone with young children would find it hard to fault.
The layout of the house and the security of the garden meant that the children could freely go between the two. This meant the grown ups could sit and relax which as most parents know is a treat.
The setting is just beautiful.
We were made to feel most welcome too.

“Beautiful accomodation”
Reviewed 9 September 2014 for a stay in July 2014

A beautifully presented cottage in a very quiet, relaxing location. We had a very relaxing week here and were very impressed with the standard of accommodation. As I have some chemical sensitivities I chose this accommodation for it's eco credentials and I was not disappointed. The owners use eco cleaning products and were so helpful and understanding both before and during our stay. It's a good base for visiting Cromer and a couple of National Trust properties too.

“Made a holiday with baby twins truly relaxing...”
Reviewed 21 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Our stay at North Farm was everything we hoped for, quiet, spacious, relaxing, friendly, well equipped and very clean.
We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with our 6 month old twins and a friendly welcome and local treats kicked off the holiday nicely.
North farm is well located for days out by the coast, city(Norwich) and the broads, or indeed to just relax in your own enclosed garden or local walks.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend North Farm and would certainly love to return when our girls are older and can enjoy running around the garden and helping feed the ducks and chickens.

“A wonderful place for a holiday with young children”
Reviewed 18 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We had a lovely week at Barn Owl Cottage earlier this month. We have a 23 month old son who adored the garden and the brilliant garden toys that were left out for him on arrival. He really enjoyed feeding the chickens every day with the food from our “chicken food” bin. We also managed to see the Barn Owl on our last night which was really amazing.

The cottage was absolutely spotless and had everything we could need including a whole drawer full of children’s cutlery and dishes and cups. There was also beautiful crockery made by the resident potter. The owners had left some lovely food for us on arrival (cake and homemade bread, homemade jam, bacon, eggs from the farm, milk, local beer). The farm is in the middle of beautiful countryside so there is very little noise and you can wander across some of the owners’ land, which is really pretty. The two cottages are separated by a fence and although they are part of the same building we felt like we had a lot of privacy as well as being able to have a chat over the fence now and then. Gill, the owner, was very helpful whenever we needed anything but also allowed us privacy.

The cottages are quite compact so I don’t know whether it might feel crowded if there were more than two adults staying there but it was perfect for our family of three. Also, just to say that Barn Owl cottage is next to fields and garden whereas the other cottage, Kingfisher, is next to the farmyard. I think I preferred the location of our cottage in terms of scenery.

I have already recommended North Farm to friends and we will be back again.

“Such helpful owners....”
Reviewed 4 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We recently stayed here with our two boys aged 2 years, and 2 months. As well as being superbly equipped for our little ones (everything from high chair to bath toys is provided – you really don't need to bring anything). The cottage is very well appointed and cosy and the garden space perfect for kids to run around in. David and Gill who run the place were friendly and helpful to a remarkable degree. Unreservedly recommended

“The Perfect Toddler-Friendly Cottage”
Reviewed 26 April 2013 for a stay in April 2013

We stayed at Kingfisher Cottage at North Farm in April 2013 and had a fantastic time with our 2 year old! Every convenience that you need has been built into the cottage - dishwasher, tumble dryer, wifi etc. but it has a lovely secluded and rural feel to it. It was great to be able to let our 2 year old run around freely in the garden as it's fenced in and the owners had been really friendly leaving garden toys out for her to play with. In a lovely location near to small towns and villages but only 40 minutes from great beaches like Wells-next-the sea and Holkham if you get a nice sunny day! The fact that the cottage is all on one level with french doors opening all along made it a lovely light and airy cottage to stay in - especially as we were lucky with sunny weather while we were there. We would definitely recommend this cottage to other couples with small children - a great getaway for little ones and adults!
