we stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is under new management and the owners and their staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The Rooms were clean and comfortable and very spacious. You could park your car outside your room. The breakfast was very good.
We had a very enjoyable stay and would definately recommend to others.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights 30th August- 1st September for a family wedding. The rooms are large and perfectly cleaned each day .Yes it is a little dated but give the new owners a chance, renovations going on in the winter. Breakfasts were very good as was lunches. The new owners were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. They and Dawn work their socks off and did brilliantly at the reception held in the hotel. Eight of us stayed there and had a brilliant time, The owners were so nice that we felt very relaxed throughout our stay. Well done to all staff. It used to be a motel so no stairs.

We often visit the restaurant as we live locally The food is plentiful & well cooked, its basic good English food. Sunday roast - choice of beef, turkey pork & nut roast with veg etc for under a £5.00. The apple & cherry pie deserts are delicious & home made. We always receive a friendly welcome & good service.

We have a small dog & if he is with us they set a table up in the bar for us.
We have not stayed at the hotel, but would not hesitate to recommend it.
There is plenty of parking, and I th.ink the bed & breakfast charges are reasonable

Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst on a business trip. The location of the hotel is ok situated next to the main road into Norwich and he staff offered a good level of service offering help and information when required. Now I know the room cost was quite cheap but that really is no excuse for poor cleanliness (the room was grubby and stank of cigarettes) and basic things like various lights not working or not even light bulbs - pretty disappointing. Evening meals are ok although nothing special - try the Black Boys in the town centre for some nice food. Overall, yes it is cheap and the location is quite handy, but the quality of the rooms is very poor.

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting family in the area. The motel room was spacious with two good beds and good TV and radio signal. Yes, the room was a little dated and the shower could have done with a bit more pressure, but the bed was notably comfortable and the whole place was extremely clean. The breakfasts here were excellent too, the menu was varied, but the english breakfast was so very well cooked (not greasy at all but very tasty) that I couldn't resist it for the 3 mornings.
The real strength of Ayysham Lodge Hotel is its staff. Without exception, they are professional, friendly and very helpful. They made my stay most enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble .
Situated closeby to all of picturesque Aylsham's amenities and on the main routes to Norwich and Cromer it's perfectly positioned for town, country and beach.
I'd happily recommend this hotel to everyone for it's warm, good old fashioned service.

We stayed at the Aylsham Lodge Hotel for the 1st time for one night. The room was very basic and in dire need of a make over. Various wall lights didn't work. The bed is THE MOST AWFUL bed my wife and I have ever slept in. The old mattress had springs sticking out and the pillows were flat.
The room looked like a TV set from the 70's which is a shame because with some investment ALH could be a nice place to stay.
On the plus side the breakfast was reasonable quality.

For £80.00 per night it definitely was not worth the money.........
