Most hotels advertise with the promise to be there for full customer satisfaction - this is one of the very few hotels which deliver! We spent absolutely fantastic Easter holidays with our two year old at the Next Paradise. The staff was very friendly, coffee even delivered down to the beach, there are no set times for meals or anything, the food is delicious, the rooms are impeccable and lovely decorated, the property is cosy and peaceful, etc..... thankyou for a truely great stay!

We were 'walk-in guests' from a neighboring resort and were simply blown away! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We were gladly accommodated for lunch which was absolutely scrumptious. Their pasta, along with their homemade bread and icecream, made for an unforgettable meal.

Being a landscape architect, I also immediately took to the immaculately kept gardens which have been maintained to perfection. Beautiful antique carved furniture give the rooms a wonderful sense of warmth and character- while the pools overlooking the beach sparkle with invitation!

We will definately recommend this hotel to all our upcoming honeymooner friends!

I recently stayed here with a friend after a month long safari. We absolutely loved it here and have every intention to return on our next trip to Africa. Thanks to Metka who welcomed us and made our stay delightful. She was always there to help, answer questions and was always available and ensured that all our needs were met. Our room faced the ocean. We relaxed and totally enjoyed ourselves. We sat on the veranda everynight and watched to sun go down and then later in the evening gazed at the stars. We often walked the beach and felt extremely safe. The ocean as well was a delight and we loved walking out when the tide was low. The local people will help you walk out, around the starfish, sea urchins and other sea life. A small local village was close by and we often walked through there. We had Maasai gentlemen as security and they were wonderful, thanks to Samon, Letibuke, Rambaiwa, Jacobo and Isaya. As I said we felt very safe and they were at all times visable as they walked around the complex and beach. The food was extraordinary, delicious, fish every night. There was a set menu, however you were able to substitute from the menu should you want to change your meal. The champagne breakfast was made to your order. The breakfast and dinner hours were also very lax and allowed you to choose your own meal times One of the chefs actually wrote out a soup menu for us prior to us leaving the resort. We both took advantage of a massage during our 4 day stay (I wish it would have been longer). There was not a fitness centre which we are not interested in but the beach certainly is long enough that should you want, you could run the beach when the tide is low. There was also bikes available at the resort for guest use. Transportation is available to/from Stonetown, airport etc. We had stayed 4 nights in Stonetown before coming here so we just stayed on the resort and enjoyed ourselves. Day trips are available to Stonetown, spice tour etc which we had already done. It was truly delightful, a HUGE SPECIAL thanks to Metka, Irene, Sifae, Juma, Ally, Ally, Vitus, Shadrack and Adam. This was definetely one of the best places we have even stayed at and everyone ensured that we had an AWESOME stay. Thanks to everyone. This was paradise!

Room Tip: Take a beach front room with private veranda, worth the extra money

We stayed for 5 nights after a week-long safari just to relax and unwind, and I have never felt so relaxed in my life. The private beach area is wonderful, and the pools were the perfect size/temperature. We stayed in one of the oceanfront rooms, which was perfectly private, beautifully decorated and opened out right onto the beach. Thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the veranda watching the sun go down in the evenings. We did a spice tour and visit to Stone Town, which we would recommend doing on the same day. We also had a massage in the cabana, which was just bliss. The food was not to our taste at all (salty and overcooked), but everyone else was sending back empty plates, so it can't have been that bad! The champagne breakfast definitely made up for it, and the staff were all wonderful. All in all, a beautiful hotel in a truly wonderful setting - paradise by both name and nature.

Room Tip: They're all good. Paying the extra for an oceanfront room is well worth it.

We absolutely loved this place. We were able to relax by the pools (there are two) or the ocean or take a stroll on the beach. The food was extraordinary! We had a delicious meal of fresh fish every night and ate off the bar menu during the day. There were plenty of choice cocktails and the service was out of this world! We had massages twice during our stay as well which were arranged by the management. A special shout out to Juma, Irin, the two Alis, Shadrak, Vitus, Sifa and Mitka who made our stay SO awesome! Asante sana na shukuru! John and Tara

Everything about this hotel is built around their guests having a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. I'm not sure what else to add to the other reviews, but here's a few highlights:

1. Room: I upgraded to bungalow A4 and thought it provided the most privacy. It is also very well appointed.

2. Food: Excellent breakfast which you can take whenever you want. Dinner is also excellent with fresh caught seafood provided daily. You can opt for a full meal or a la carte. Fresh fruit is available all day as well.

3. Service: wonderful staff and service. I contacted the owner, Stuart, about upgrading and transportation options prior to arrival and he was extremely responsive and helpful.

4. Transportation: if you are flying into Dar e Salaam airport, take a Coastal Aviation flight if you are not familiar with the area. They provide free airport transfer from the international terminal to domestic (and back) when you reach DAR. Note: Just go to the left when you step out of the airport upon arrival; locals may try to lead you to another office or taxi, but the Coastal office is clearly marked. You can contact Next Paradise for a transfer from Zanzibar airport to the hotel. A little pricey, but worth it if you haven't been to Zbar before.

5. Beach: there is always beachfront unlike other hotels in the area. Also, they have ample sunbathing area no matter which room you choose.

6. Cost: great value for the level of accommodations and service. I did a lot of research before choosing NP and never regretted it.

7. Security: there is staff walking around 24/7, so that provides some peace of mind.

8. Location: about an hour from airport and Stone Town.

9. Spa: massage available with one day notice. Full spa not available, but the price for the massage was very reasonable. No fitness center, but you have the pools, beach and ocean to get your workout in!

I highly recommend this hotel and will go there again if/when I return to Zanzibar. Thank you for the wonderful vacation Next Paradise!

Room Tip: A4 offers the most privacy.
