To end a safari and crash out here is wonderful I spent five nights here with my wife, transfer time from the airport is one hour. Split up over several acres of gardens and large palm trees this hotel ticks most of the boxes,it has grassed areas leading to the beach, two swimming pools with bars open from 10am. There are also massage and beauty facilities on site the accommodation is spacious clean and tidy, it is five minutes walk at most to the restaurant which has a varied daily menu and the main beach area is close by, the waiting on staff are friendly and helpful, luggage will always be taken to your room The downside are the beach boys and girls who try to sell inferior goods they are generally a pest and the hotel cannot do anything about it except ask you to stay off the beach. This is a pity as the beach is of white sand and blue coloured sea. I would recommend this hotel as a relaxing place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor you will probably get an apartment on the hill overlooking the ocean. Good hotels can often oblige.

Neptune Pwani resort has everything you could wish for and more. From the moment we arrived we knew that we were in Zanzibar, with the beautiful Zanzibarian feel and traditional décor. The beautifully clean and refreshing face towels on arrival were a lovely touch and most welcome.

This resort is amazing, from the pool to the beach, the rooms to the facilities – everything was perfect. The food was delicious with lots of choice and helpful, friendly staff.

All of the staff, without exception, were outstanding. Each and every person working there delivers the highest level of service and professionalism. They truly take pride in their work and seem to thoroughly enjoy making their guests happy.

The Spa was amazing, with excellent facilities and the most stunning and breathtaking views while relaxing after our massage/treatment.

This was the absolute perfect place for us and if we could do it over again, we wouldn't change a single thing. Except maybe we would have stayed a few extra days... We hope to return again.

We have just returned after staying 8 nights at Neptune Pwani Beach post Safari.
We had a choice of hotels but decided to choose Neptune through reviews on here and the look of the place. Our choice was the correct one.
First and foremost the staff are fantastic. The waiters and bar guys are always happy and try very hard to help you make the most of your holiday. They want to engage in conversation and the service was superb.
The whole resort is spotless. Constant cleaning and mopping around the bars and toilets. The beach is kept in good order and the landscape gardens are beautiful.
We loved our room! Spacious and comfortable, huge comfy bed, mini bar, and fab bathroom.
There was always a good choice of food but our fav had to be the pasta station!!!!!
There was low key entertainment every night during dinner which carried on after. Also, occasionally local people set up stalls around the pool in the evening to sell their goods, souvenirs, paintings etc for you to peruse.
Whilst we was there it was my wife's birthday and a fabulous table was set up for us with flowers, champagne and a birthday cake which arrived with singing and dancing from the waiters, a nice touch.
The only negative point are the sellers on the public beach. Nothing the hotel can do. They can only go as far as the front wall which is patrolled by security but it can put you off from going for a walk.
Overall a fantastic week which did not disappoint.

We were here in 2008 febr, that was our first stay in East-Africa, and that was the first time to us when we met with theese people's kindness.
The hotel has perfect location, we were welcomed with fresh towels and drinks in the 35'C. Our app was on the hill with direct view to the Indian ocean, 20 m close to spa, with nice african style furniture, more than a large bathroom, big terrace. Fabulous garden, everything green, huge palm trees, nice pools with 28'C water (ocean was cc. 30) that was unvelieable for us, europeans in the wintertime. We had all inclusive, so we could eat & drink from the morning till midnight.
Food was delicious, especially the fish-courses.
The main problem was the quality of drinks, wines weren't quality wines, in ai we had only some kind of cheap italian igt or sg liek this.
Local drink was in the ai, current drinks for extra money, but that is the same in all hotels.
Staff was extremly friendly, everybody had hearty laugh all day long.
Recommended!

We ended our safari with a relaxing 5 days here. It was just what we needed. It is a spacious site and at first we were concerned about the distance to the main areas but there was no problem even though we had to contend with many steps. The area was well lit at night. Our room was well appointed and we could just see the sea!
We enjoyed the soups in the restaurant but were disappointed by the desserts. The snacks were good in the beach bar, we couldn't manage a full blown lunch every day. The staff were friendly and willing
We found the beach boys and girls annoying and irritating, they put us off ever returning to this hotel. We would have liked to spend more time on the lovely beach without the hassle of these folk
