Don't get me wrong, Peggy's Cove is a beautiful little town. However, it was so crowded when we tried to go there that we couldn't find a parking spot anywhere in this town. We drove around and around and finally decided that seeing the lighthouse from the car was good enough. There are so many people here, I'm not sure how anyone gets a picture of the lighthouse without at least 50 other people in it. The wilderness preservation area around Peggy's Cove is really scenic, but I don't think I would come back here. There are many other adorable fishing towns in Nova Scotia that you can see without being run over by tour buses.

Peggy's Cove is a nice place, that's for sure, but I don't understand the tourist hype about it. There are so many beautiful places in Nova Scotia that deserve the same interest as Peggy's Cove.

Sometimes a place gets too much hype and has backlash - some folks told us to skip this but glad we did not. Beautiful place.

Good for a little stop and enjoying the scenery. Been there in 2009, on a rainy day. Came again on a sunny day. Both days were nice to enjoy!

We fully expected to spend maybe an hour at Peggy's Cove, but when we arrived, we found that the rock formations that the lighthouse is built on are much, much larger than what one would think based on all the classic photographs. We wound up climbing on the rocks for about 2 1/2 hours before walking around the village itself. Such an interesting place. The pounding surf is crazy.
