Just returned from a two day business conference a St Georges park.
New, very large hotel with a very modern spacious design.
Plenty of parking, and it was busy, quick efficient check-in and nice clean and spacious room.
Excellent conference venue with an impressive main conference room and plenty of other smaller seminar rooms.

Really could not fault it but If you are looking for a cosy weekend away as a couple in a hotel with character then this is probably not for you unless football is your thing!

Great location, clean room and good food for a conference . Reception were very good & sorted a minor issue in the room quickly.
The breakfast cook on Friday was very pleasant but on Saturday her replacement was the only grumpy staff member I encountered.

Stayed at this hotel for five days while running a conference. Great 'wow' entrance as you drive down to the premises and a luxury, five-star style lobby. Friendly check-in from a smiley bunch of young staff.

Rooms excellent; spotlessly clean, good sizes, nice bathroom (daft sink taps from a poor design/usability factor) and decent toiletries etc. Quite secure (swipe cards to get into hotel wings) but assume this might be due to the football celebs that are there in abundance.

Breakfast perfect. Great views, peaceful (no annoying hotel music) and fresh food with a good variety. Restaurant staff all very friendly too.

Dinner variety better in the bar than in restaurant (nothing that I fancied on their menu) and hamburgers/salads good. Nice buzz in the bar.

Spa/pool absolutely great and not rammed either.

The only *downside* for me was that the nearest town area was probably 15 minutes away but this won't worry the usual couple-of-night stayers. No cash point either so be prepared!

Whilst I did not use thye Restaaurant facilities, the hotel is new and airy. The rooms are clean modern and in pristine condition. The environment is particularly pleasant especially if you are a football fan

I have used St George’s Park a number of times over the last year for both customers and myself.

The setting is fantastic, all very modern and imposing as you drive up; all tinged with references to England’s proud, if somewhat unsuccessful, Football heritage. The place is inhabited by a strange mix of track-suited FA and sports type folk – all looking very serious in branded tracksuits (utterly preposterous of course) and lots of middle managers from large British blue chips on nonsense team building days in slightly more baggy tracksuits (even more preposterous).

If it’s soulless Corporate-Ville you’re looking for in your hotels, then this is the place for you. Bright lighting, sterile dinning environment and a depressing “sports bar” – which is a nitro-keg, big brand, no beer mats paradise complete with large TV screen to watch football.
You’re miles away from anywhere that looks normal and food is rather average, unlike the prices. Forgettable, but perfectly adequate new corporate style bedrooms and the usual buffet breakfast.

Once the England FA novelty has worn off (about 2 minutes after arrival for me), you’re left feeling trapped, lonely and over spent.

Avoid.
