we started our motoring journey from London at 8am and, after some difficulty negotiating the local traffic, entered this land of tranquility by 4pm. The reception staff were efficient and helpful, the room nicely appointed with plenty of period furniture and the bathroom comfortable. The grounds were beautifully kept and not a noise to be heard. We had a rather overpriced glass of wine in the bar but dinner was nicely done and service was non-fussed and efficient. Wine list had a good selection and prices reasonable. We had a lovely sleep after a long drive in total bliss. The breakfast buffet was even better than dinner with the most delicious home made sausages and pate on display. We would definitely return in the not too distant future.

Room Tip: first corner room on the right 1/F facing the garden

This chateau has stayed in my memory as one of the most magical stays in France for the last 26 years and on returning for 2 nights this time and in the chateau itself is still has the power to impress. We had the gourmand package the first night followed by the touraine package the second night both meals were of amazing standard, each course was beautifully presented and the aromas were beautiful. The waiters were very attentive especially the lady sommelier.Sparkling Vouvray in the bar before dinner was complimented with 2 amuse Bouche which were very very good.Afternoon tea in the salon bar was also served perfectly and needed after a walk to and from nearby Montbazon. We loved the spa complex where we used the jacuzzi every day. This is a great stone cellar like room with a swim spa, quite beautiful and very nice and warm. The swimming pool complex really needed some care, the water we were told was heated proved to be very icy.Our room overloked the Indre river by a window in our bedroom also the bathroom. The journey to our room was a highlight of up and down little stairways which made one think of times gone by.This chateau is very beautiful and should be included in your stay in this region.

Although an old "chateau", its been restored wonderfully. A bit pricey. I think that with all the personnel they have, the grounds kept wonderfully, cleanliness food at its best, a great bar with "very old bottles of armagnac" that you can taste by the glass, rooms and bathrooms very cozy, it takes alot of money to keep up this standard. My room was a traditional one, over looking the river in the back of the castle...lovely! The location is near some of the castles in the Loira Valley area. We had a great stay!

Room Tip: Traditional rooms are the cheapest, some located very conveniently.Mine was.

We only stayed one night, but were impressed by the friendly service at a place we were worried would be too fancy for us. Dinner was great, and it's a good locale for seeing some of Chateaus around Tours. The swimming pool is a nice setting, but definitely not heated. The bed was pretty small.

The entry to the Chateau is breathtaking as is the facade of the building. The dining room has good food and attentive service. The rooms are fine. Yet, this chateau is a bit commercial and lacks the charm of some of the others in the area. Additionally, the pool is rather pathetic looking given the grandeur of the grounds

We stayed in this hotel on our way back home from our holiday in the midi-pyreneess. The chateau is very beautiful. The location is also beautiful. The location is convenient because it is very peaceful but also close enough to the highway and in the neighbourhood of interesting Loire castles. We visited for instance Chenonceau in the afternoon. As we are a family with 2 teenagers, we had 2 rooms. The rooms are clean and the decoration is beautiful, charming but very antique. The room room rate is rather high. The personel is well trained and very friendly. The diner was excellent.
I have 1 small remark: we had a quick lunch near the swimming pool: the sandwish was cheap but terrible an the placemats were dirty, not at all at the level of quality we experienced in the rest of the hotel.
