Wow what a fantastic location to explore Argostolin from, centrally located, but amazingly quite in relation to street noise, can't hear a thing with the sliding glass door closed and not much with it open either.

We love room 307, on the third floor with a huge balcony. Awesome ocean views one way and view of the marble paved pedestrian St the other way.
The rooms are quite sophisticated, very comfortable, incredibly clean and very fluffy towels (which makes me very happy). Really really comfortable beds.

We have walked through the entire town along the waterfront, along the marbled pedestrian St (which comes to life at night and is the place to be) and this hotel is absolutely perfectly situated.
It is also a very short stroll to the bus terminal, where we travelled by coach to Fiscardo for 6 Euro each way.
It is also very close (2.2km) from Lassi and its sandy beaches. The local bus which stops on the waterfront approx. 150m from the hotel costs only 1.50 Euro each way.

This was our first time to Kefalonia, it wont be our last and the Mouikis Hotel will be our first stop.
Something else is worth a mention....the staff are so helpful, we have never been to Greece before and they have helped make this trip an absolute perfect experience.
We were so warmly welcomed and we have been taken care of so well by the front reception staff, breakfast staff and the ladies who do the rooms.

Well done Mouikis. I booked this accommodation based on what I read on Trip Advisor and I am so pleased to be able to relay the same pleasant experience we have had to others.

Cheers, Simone and Mike.

Room Tip: We love room 307...huge balcony....great views.

My return to the Mouikis was such a pleasure. I have been visiting Cephalonia on and off for over 20 years and the pull to go back this year was just too strong. The hotel was always lovely, but what a difference! The recent refurb has added an degree of chic sophistication without losing the relaxed and very friendly atmosphere. The staff and owners were so charming and helpful and if I am honest, it was lovely to stay at a place where you hear not just English voices from the guests, but Italian, German, Greek, French etc.
Located within minutes of the busy, vibrant, town centre, the view from our balcony across the water to the hills beyond was beautiful.
Yes the showers (see previous comments) in a standard room are a wee bit tight and the standard room is not enormous, but as 2 female friends of a certain age, traveling with all the 'stuff' we girls bring, we coped just fine. The breakfasts have a good broad offering; fruits, yoghurts, cereals, toast, fresh breads, cold meats and cheeses, honey cake (yummy) and some cooked items, along with juice, teas and coffee.
There is even a laptop in the lounge for guest use, with free wifi.
I aim to return in September. Watch this space!

Room Tip: Ask to be on the 3rd floor - best breeze level and larger balconies.

This was our second visit to Kefalonia and the Mouikis Hotel. Superb. The hotel is well maintained and rooms immaculately furnished to a high standard. We had rooms on the third floor with view on the balcony of the bay. The breakfasts are good and plentiful. The location of the hotel is ideal and close to all amenities. All staff are lovely and very helpful. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Third floor rooms have lovely views.

We stayed overnight at the Mouikis hotel for two separate nights on our way to & from Ithaka. At my request the hotel had kindly arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport. We were very pleased with the accommodation - modern, tasteful, clean & comfortable. It is located in central Argostoli near to the harbour, we had sea views and balconies. The staff were most helpful: we were relieved to be given our room very early on the return journey when we had got back to Argostoli much sooner than originally planned. It was quiet and we slept well in very comfortable beds. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. Very good value. All good!!

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floor facing harbour have larger balconies but I think all rooms have a balcony.

We stayed in April and wanted accommodation in the Kefalonia capital as we were out of season and wanted some choices to eat out. We stayed bed and breakfast for five nights at €70 / night.

This hotel overlooks the harbour and mountains beyond and our room, 302 had a wonderful balcony wrapping round two sides of the building, affording views of both harbour and town. The balconies are divided by frosted glass for privacy.

The room itself was spotlessly clean with plenty of room for us and our two kids (11 & 3). The bed was comfortable and the ensuite was more than adequate with a fully enclosed shower unit.

The breakfast had a really good choice of food, which included cereals, fruit & yogurts, ham, cheese, choice of breads, cakes, omelette and sausage. There were juices, coffee and a selection of teas, although for the Brits, I can't remember seeing any breakfast tea.

The hotel is ideally situated seconds from the harbour and shopping precinct and only minutes from the square. There is plenty of choice to eat within easy walking distance, even out of season and for that reason I would recommend this as a comfortable stay for anyone looking for a similar break.

Finally, the hotel has a lift making your journey to the bedroom after a nice evening out that little bit easier.

I do hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did and consider making a point of visiting the village of Skala while you're there (about an hours drive). There is a patisserie on the sea front as you leave the village towards Poros called Sugaro which sells the most exquisite ice creams and cakes I've ever sampled, and Marabou in Skala village square is the perfect place to relax. Tell them Mick sent you! Happy travels...

In Kefalonia on a villa buying expedition. Needed a centrally located hotel in Argostoli in order to meet lawyer etc.
The Mouikis Hotel was ideal from our point of view. We overlooked the harbour and were within walking distance of the square where there were a plethora of bars and restaurants.
On arriving at the hotel on the first evening we asked the receptionist ( we subsequently discovered he was the manager ) for eating options. Being out of season he said not all eating establishments were open.
Upon returning downstairs from our rooms, we were given the name of two restaurants. One was open the following evening and was a name we had seen on Tripadvisor, being the number one rated restaurant in Argostoli.
Suffice to say, both of the recommended restaurants were ideal.
The hotel could not be faulted in anyway and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to be in central Argostoli within walking distance of the harbour and the main square.

Stayed here for a week in the beginning of October. We had a nice room on the top floor with a huge terrace/balcony and good view over the port. All was well with the room and the bathroom, except, that the shower-cabin was very small.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had made a firm booking for three days only since this was already the low-season and we knew that it would be easy to find another hotel if we were not happy with this one. We eventually decided to stay in this hotel for the rest of the week and were offered a reduction of 10 e. per night for the balance period. There was a restaurant for breakfast only. The breakfast was very basic (no fresh juice..) but more or less what is to be expected from a hotel of this category. One complaint though, for the coffee, which was never hot. Even after I had complained that the coffee was too cold, the replacement coffee was not hot enough either. During the week, I never got really hot coffee.
Still, the main impression of our stay in this hotel was positive. It was clean and in good shape, the location was good and, as said, the staff was very friendly. If I happened to be in Kefallonia again, I would probably choose the same hotel.

Room Tip: Since the port and the sea are near, it is a good idea to make sure, that there is a good view to th...
