“Good enough”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

My boyfriend and i went on an impulsive trip to Guimaras from Iloilo and we ended staying in Raymen Beach Resort. It was quite expensive for us, since the only room available was good for 3 persons (and they were the only resort with an availability when we got there). But for planned trips, it could be affordable. The rooms are decent, low-ceiling, and clean. The bed sheets and pillows smelled a bit with bleach, but that's fine. The food in their canteen is good, and, yeah, they don't offer free mangoes. Guimaras is home to the sweetest mangoes, so you'll have to buy to be able to know how good it tastes. The beach stretch is really small, and it is very crowded, especially if you decide to stay there on a weekend and take a dip in the day time. If you want less crowd, you can take your swim in the evening.

Transportation is really rare, so if you're planning to go to Guimaras and stay at Raymen, it's best that you call them first OR schedule your boat trip to the island earlier. There's a customer service helpdesk that will aid you once you reach the shores of Guimaras.

my friends and i visited the place last june13-15. i love the place and food but what i really hate is the beach, its really crowded. the sand and water is amazing tho. i dont really recomend it for those who really wants to relax and enjoy the view. the strech of the beach is too small as well but all in all its quite okay.

Understanding that there is not much to chose from on this beach so overall it’s not a bad place to stay, we were lucky that it was after the school holidays had finished and there was only small crowds of people on the beach and within the resort.
We took the West building top floor room, which is supposed to be good for 4, but was comfortable for two to spread out in. The bonus of it was no one was in the front family room so we had the balcony to ourselves and got to enjoy a sunset dinner with a great view.
Room and bathrooms were clean and felt almost new. We also had the first night doing dinner on the beach, even though it was a great view and the staff where more than accommodating, I suggest that you use mosquito spray and have a fly swatter as both where in abundance. Overall a good place to go as long as it’s not too crowed as there is limited staff and I can imagine them getting run off their feet.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, but next time I would give the next door a go as it also has a better setup with the way it has its bungalows for eating, as one of the problems with Raymen’s is that they have the enclosed bungalows for rent and so it is not that comfortable eating down on the beach within their compound.

Really popular lodging. Seems you can ask any local about it and everyone can give you directions where to go. Stayed there for one night, and I'm pretty thankful it was just one night. Room was ok, but can't vouch for the cleanliness. The accessibility to the beach was great, but I guess since it was the weekend it was pretty crowded. The food needs to improve in terms of taste and servings, but it was pretty quiet so we got to sleep pretty well. Overall, the place was ok to stay in for a short stay, but if you're intending to stay in Guimaras for more than one night I suggest you try finding another inn.

It is one of the beach resorts usually suggested by their tourism employees who welcomes in the port area of Jordan, Guimaras. The resort has better facilities than other nearby resorts.. It has hotel rooms for those on their vacation, plus simple huts for those on day tour only. They also have a good restaurant and souvenir shop.

We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. The resort was a little bit crowded. The room was clean and not that spacious. The bedsheets looked untidy. The bathroom was not that clean and we noticed that the water coming out from the faucet was light brown in color and the beach water was itchy. What I like in this resort is the food and the very accommodating staff when we checked in.
