We arrived late evening and arranged to leave after breakfast for our long journey to Kandy, so we didn't really have time to enjoy this place.
First impression was okay, the room was spacious but needs touching up in a few spots. The breakfast was average, the staff were all friendly and the pool looked nice.
I'd suggest looking into cheaper options for one night as I felt we expected more for our value.

We recently stayed at this hotel for a wedding and it served our purpose well being efficient and comfortable. The swimming pool was lovely with a competent life guard who oversaw our grandchildren on a couple of occasions.The friendly desk staff couldn't have been better in providing advice and help.
The negative points were the building works going on all the time outside our room (including during the night)and the disgusting. stagnant pool below our window. This caused a problem with mosquitoes and looked horrible. This spoiled an otherwise comfortable room.
Rather budget hotel for short stay. Rooms quite clean but need some maintenence. Breakfast very simple and rather for those who don't each much in the morning :) Very slow or/and not working internet.
Too big, to anonymous, too half-cooked with qite some flaws, seems to be a restplace for people arriving from the airport, or preparing there for their trip home.
I mention the food, it is less than Sri Lankan standard, mass food.
We were on business in the area so we needed a decent place to stay and this is it - the rooms are average (we had a big jacuzzi tub but it leaked in the bathroom, and they had those showers that drain right on the floor which we don't like much) and the beds were average comfort (my husband thought too soft)...the pool area is average (right in front of the dining room) but the food is actually really good (especially the Sri Lanka dinners). Average place to stay if you just want a clean room and good food.

Probably you may have graded the Room as average due to technical issue in the bath Tub. My apology for not rectifying the issue prior to releasing the Room.
