Great food, very tasty and flavourful. Pleasant staff. Very good outdoor area for catching up with friends. Rooms needed a good cleaning, spiderwebs in corners, ring around the toilet. Noisy window shaker air conditioning. Owner should invest in central air for all the rooms.

Room Tip: Ground floor is cooler on hot days. No air conditioning in the Eco Trailer.

We booked the Timber House to host a 50th birthday party and had most of our party guests reserve rooms for the evening. It was a wonderful experience we are all eager to repeat!

From the coordination of the party through to the little luxuries like custom chocolates on the pillow and spa quality, full size toiletries in the rooms, every need was met and each expectation exceeded.

At the front desk, Tanya's attention to detail in working out the logistics was very much appreciated as was her friendly and professional demeanour.

The food at the event was delicious, well presented and ample and the home-cooked breakfast the next morning with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and a selection of breads and pastries was very well received.

The rooms were well appointed and furnished with impressive antique furniture and local interest art work and books. The beds were comfortable, the rooms large and the bathrooms clean and modern.

The facilities were well appreciated too. The pool and water slide were a big hit with the children in our party, as was the kids play areas and jungle gym. And with a short walk to a beautiful sandy beach and private waterfront deck area, we felt very spoiled.

We had a fantastic time, felt very well cared for at very reaonable rates, and really can't wait to go back.

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay for a Saturday night get away in June, which is difficult to do. Thankfully we found Timber House, about a 10 minute drive from Brighton and 30 min to the vineyards in Prince Edward County, which was a really great mix of a B&B and an inn. The service was fabulous, and the bed in the King Suite was one of the best we've ever slept in. The inn was clean and the breakfast delicious. The only odd thing was that the shower in the bathroom wasn't updated when everything else in the inn clearly was. I look forward to going back.

Even though we are from the area, we felt like we were on a retreat away while staying at The Timber House Country Inn & Resort. When we arrived the front desk host was very welcoming and warm. We did not make prior reservations for dinner, however the Chef was nice enough to cook us dinner that evening which was fantastic. The food portions were very generous and you could tell everything was home made.

We took a nice walk down to the Private beach as well as using the pool facilities which was nice and refreshing. The Timber House is only minutes from beautiful Presquile park which we spent the better half of Saturday at and the waters felt like we were in the south, they were so clear and the sand beaches were quite soft and white.

All in all we had a lovely experience at The Timber House and would like to give a big thanks to the staff for their great service and accommodating all of our requests. We will certainly be back soon.

My partner and I stayed at Timber House Country Inn & Resort June 23, 2011.
We were looking forward exploring this facility. When we first arrived the staff person had a hard time finding the right key to the front door to give us. They were flustered in trying to decipher the documents for our reservation. After we went to our assigned room and the key that was given to us did not work. We were told the pool is murkey and does not work. The hallway to our room had a large spill spot that was very sticky and one drop on every step. The carpet in the common area was not vaccumed. The onsuite bathroom is extremely tiny. You can not put your elbows out when you are at the sink to fix your hair. The breakfast was OK, started with mixed fruit, eggs, home fries, bacon, brown toast, nothing creative or special. Great building in a nice setting. The price did not warrant the stay, far too expensive for what it offered. Unfortunately will not be returning.
Terry

I should have sent this review in last year, but time seems to get away when your retired. This was our first trip to Canada and first time staying in a Bed & Breakfast. David and the staff were excellent host and tentative to all of our needs. We loved the suite we had and the view. We also got to see the new concept of cabins that were going to be used in the future. What a excellent idea David had. Glad to see that it has become reality. Thanks again to wonderful staff at Timber House Country Inn and Resort. We tell everyone about this place.

Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent.
