It is always wonderful when you are greeted warmly from the staff of any business. Captain George know how to do that best!

Although it was close to closing time, we were promptly greeted and received good service throughout the meal. We went with the fish and chips. They were quite good. We enjoyed the onion rings which we ordered as well. The fish was nicely done. Overall we were totally satisfied with the whole experience. We would visit them again. Pricing was in line with that type of restaurant.

This is a great place to stop for a quick lunch when in Brighton - we enjoy the fish and chips and often the clam strips - always friendly service and the restaurant is very clean.
They offer good specials and we have never had a bad lunch!

It was nice and clean but smelled a little bit of the cleaners they use rather than the food they cook.
The meals were good but most of what is on the menu was deep fried and we would like to have seen more choices from the grill.
Prices were a little high for the serving size but not outragious.
We liked the colour skeem and visual but never quite got over the smell of the cleansers. I felt like telling them about green cleaning altenatives but thought better of it. They were friendly and easy to talk to but i am not sure if we will go back.

Maybe I'm old fashioned when it comes to eating-in at a take-out restaurant. There's something about picking your food up at the counter, proceeding to a table, and then using plastic utensils to eat it that bothers me. Here, you'll get real metal cutlery, all wrapped up in a napkin, with your 'for here' meal. And, for delving into a nice crunchy/crispy properly battered fillet of halibut, it's worth it! Portions are as they should be. And, with a splash of malt vinegar, just delightful. Decent, not overwhelming portions, so that you will have anything left. And certainly not so small, that you'll finish wanting more. Pleasingly just the way things should be. And, on a long drive home from Bellville, this little gem of a restaurant is worth taking a few minutes extra to drive off the highway, and avoid the fast food fair you find at those highway rest stops. Fine dining this is not. though, certainly a cut above the rest. Modest decor, more reminiscent of a Greek restaurant than that of a fish and chip joint. Ample parking. Clean and easily accessible washrooms conveniently located just off to the side. Overall, worth it.
